Canada is the second largest country in the world. It is situated in the northern part of North America. You can see the flag of the country on the screen.
The majority of its land area being dominated by forest and tundra. Its population is highly urbanized, with over 80 percent of its inhabitants concentrated in large and medium-sized cities, and 70 per cent residing within 100 km of the southern border.
Canadians are known for apologizing and saying sorry. It is one of the friendliest countries in the world.

Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world combined. There are 3 million lakes in Canada if you include smaller lakes as well. Слайд 7 The biggest lake is the Great Bear Lake.

It is the wildest of the mountain parks, and contains a superb backcountry trail system as well as the world famous Columbia Icefields, one of the only Icefields in the world accessible by road.

Québec was founded by the French explorer Champlain in the early 17th century. It is the only North American city to have preserved its ramparts, together with the numerous bastions, gates and defensive works which still surround Old Québec.
