World Problems

People have lived on the Earth for thousands of years, but in the last 200 years they made a mess of the planet.

There are a lot of environmental problems now. They are: pollution, global warming, deforestation and endangered species. People understand that they must protect nature, that is why they organize volunteer teams or groups and clean rivers, lakes and land. They plant trees and help endangered animals.

We must follow some simple rules if we go camping or hiking:

1. Firstly, don't throw rubbish everywhere.

2. Secondly, leave wild animals alone, don't try to touch, pet or feed them.

3. Thirdly, be careful with the fire, because forest fires are very dangerous.

Unfortunately there are also some social problems in the modern world.

They are: racism, when people of one nation think that they are better than another;

homelessness, when some people have no place to live;

unemployment, when some people can't find a job and can't earn a decent living.

In some countries of the world people suffer from wars, hunger, poverty and diseases.
Some people have no opportunity to study and they are illiterate.
In some developing countries they use child labor so children become ill and die.

All these problems are really urgent and need our attention.
