На уроке использовала групповую работу, разноуровневые задания, релаксацию, защита постера, рефлексию. Целью урока ставилась расширить кругозор учащихся, обогатить словарный запас, развить коммуникативные навыки учащихся, создать коллаборативную среду, развить умение рефлексировать.

The theme of the lesson:

№ 8. To be healthy and fit. (Supplementary material)

The aim of the lesson:

1.Educational: to enrich students’ vocabulary on the topic and to conclude golden rules of being healthy and fit; to explain the form and use of Past Continuous Tense.

2.Developing: to develop pupils' habits of reading, writing, speaking and listening.

3.Bringing – up: To bring up healthy style of life and interest in doing sport.

• talk about the rules of being healthy and fit;

• use thematically vocabulary in oral speech;

• develop their speaking and listening skills;

*We use the Past Continuous tense to talk about actions that were in progress in the past. For example,

When you phoned me I was having a shower.

He wasn't working in the garden (-).

Was he working in the garden (?)

They study the rules of forming and using the tense, they make affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences.


They evaluate their understanding of the grammar material with the help of “Traffic lights”

Ex.4, p.64 (complete the sentences)-task for the 1st group;

Ex.2, p.34 (match the sentences with the pictures)-task for the 2nd group;

Ex.4, p.35 (make questions)-task for the 3rd group;

In groups they do tasks of different levels.

At our previous lessons we have talked about health, good habits and bad habits, teenagers` lifestyles. And today I have prepared some pictures with which you must make a poster. You must work up the rules of being healthy and fit.

Simple rules for being healthy

• Try to choose healthy food. Fruit and vegetables are ideal.

• Never eat at night and avoid fat and sweet food as it causes obesity.

• Never snack between meals.

• Bad habits are dangerous for your health.

• Do morning exercises and play sports. It makes you strong and energetic.

• Have a regular lifestyle or keep a day regime

• Never use transport if it is possible to walk.

• Breathe fresh air as much as possible.

• Air your room before sleeping.
