Introduction
Ask anyone what they wish they could do more of, and the answer is literally always the same: ‘I wish I could travel more’.
Planning a cheap trip to Europe is hard work as several aspects must be taken into consideration.
First, a traveller should think of a destination and get an international passport and visa. Then he considers means of transport and accommodation on a trip.
The aim of our project is to give you practical tips of how to travel to Europe affordably.
Europe is a small continent, but for a holiday it has probably the most to offer. You can make beautiful car trips to Italy and Croatia or enjoy a romantic break in London or Paris.
Skiing in Austria, taking a lovely weekend off in the Ardennes or Bavaria, enjoying a relaxed beach holiday in Greece or Spain or taking an unforgettable trip to the Baltic States or Germany – all these destinations sound attractive.
Must have identity:
- Parental consent (for children)

6 Steps to Saving Money on Flights
Ignore the myths
Take advantage of student discounts
Search ticket prices as one person
Book early, but not too early
Be flexible with your destinations
Choose off peak flights
Ignore the myths
It is NOT cheaper to buy airfare on Tuesday.
There is NO evidence that searching incognito leads to cheaper deals .
There is NO exact date or specific time period in which to book your airfare.
Back
Choose off peak flights
It is always cheaper to fly during the middle of the week than on a weekend, because most people travel on the weekends and airlines hike their prices then. Prices are also cheaper if you fly after a major holiday. Early-morning or late-night flights are cheaper because fewer people want to travel off-peak. The difference of one day can mean considerable savings.

Be flexible choosing your destinations
Next
Step 1: Go on Google Flights to choose your destination.
Next
Step 2:Put in your dates, your home airport and enjoy the options .

Take advantage of student discounts
If you are a student (or under 26), there there is a variety of discounts available for you. There are a lot of student discount codes out there, and travel agencies like STA Travel or Flight Centre or Sky Scanner can help find you a cheap ticket. http://www.statravel.co.uk ; https://www.skyscanner.ru
Back
Search ticket prices as one person
Do not search for or buy multiple tickets in a single purchase. Airlines always show the highest ticket price in a group of tickets. Always search for tickets as a single person. Afterwards, in the checkout process, you can pick your seats so you and your family are sitting together.
Back
Book early, but not too early.
Airline fares will keep rising, but there is a sweet spot when the airlines begin to either lower or increase fares based on demand. Do not wait until the last second but do not book far, far in advance either. The best booking window is 6–8 weeks before your flight, or around three months before if you are going to your destination during peak season.

Cheap travelling by bus
In Europe, buses are much cheaper than trains. Every country has its own national bus service, but for international long distances, there is Eurolines, the organization for international bus travel in Europe, and it will take you throughout the continent. Taking Eurolines from Berlin to Paris is $100 USD, while a last-minute booking on the train is $248 USD.
Cheap travelling by car
Saving money hitch-hiking
Hitch-hikers travel by getting rides in other people's cars. When they want drivers to give them a lift, they stand on the roadside and raise their hand or put out their thumb. Most hitch-hikers also carry a sign with the name of the place they want to go to.
Accomodation
Prefer hostels as budget alternative to hotels and B&Bs.
Hostel facilities include:
- hotel-level comforts
- private rooms
- ensuite bathrooms
- bars or kitchens for guests’ use
- internet lounges
- organised activities.
