You know that a lot of adults or teenagers have people who they admire and proud and the example to follow. Sometimes they can name them heroes. What do you think about a hero?

This scheme will help you to answer the question.

A hero is a person:

• - who has got any achievements;

• - who made something important for his country;

• -who has a very good reputation;

• - who is respected by all people.

OK, I see every person has his own opinion about a hero. So, the topic of our lesson is “Who is your hero?”

What is the aim of our lesson? How do you think?

OK, that’s why in our lesson we will read, listen to and speak about people who are example to follow.

The aim of our lesson is tospeak about a hero for every person and we have to answer the question “What kind of people can you call a hero and why?”

1. Аудирование

You know that every teenager has his own opinion about a hero. Ray, Leonard and Liz are talking about people who they think are their heroes. Listen to them and answer the question

1. “Who are they?

2. Are Ray’s, Leonard’s and Liz’s heroes famous people or not?

1. Ray’s hero is his Dad.

Leonard’s hero is Mel Gibson.

Liz’s hero is her big brother.

1. Ray and Liz’s heroes are not famous. Leonard’s hero is famous.

Now let’s divided into 3 groups. Read the information about these three children and be ready to answer the questions? And say which of the children could express these ideas? The first group:

Ray’s hero is his father. He is a hero because he is always fun, kind, clever and he is never bored to be with. Also he knows a lot about space exploration and the achievements of scientists. He isn’t famous.

The second group:

Leonard’s hero is Mel Gibson. He is famous. He is a wonderful actor, his characters are brave. (рассказ о Меле Гибсоне с использованием презентации)

Thethirdgroup:

Liz’s hero is her big brother. He is smart, helpful, he is the first to help her with the homework, when she had a sore throat he tried to entertain her and treated with honey, hot tea and lemon.
