Урок на тему ‘Teenage Magazines’ в 7 классе. (Учебник Spotlight).

Цели.

Обучающие:- научиться вести разговор о журналах для подростков;

-обобщить и расширить знания учащихся о подростковых журналах в Великобритании;

-расширить общий и лингвистический кругозор учащихся;

-развивать языковую догадку;

-развивать социокультурную компетенцию.

Развивающие:-развивать коммуникативные универсальные учебные действия (УДД) через все виды речевой деятельности;

-способствовать развитию интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка;

-развивать регулятивные УДД , в том числе, умение планирования, самоконтроля и самооценки;

-развивать навыки работы с информацией;

-развивать умение смыслового чтения;

-развивать воображение при моделировании ситуации общения.

Воспитательные:- способствовать осознанию возможностей самореализации средствами иностранного языка;

-воспитывать информационную культуру, толерантность и уважение к разным точкам зрения;

-воспитывать активную жизненную позицию, креативность;

-воспитывать культуру поведения через освоение норм этикета: умение преподносить и реагировать на информацию, предлагать идею, выражать согласие или несогласие.

Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, презентация, опорная схема, карточки для учащихся, тематические наборы для проектной работы.

Ход урока.

Greetings.-Good morning, children! Nice to see you at our lesson. How are you? It’s very nice that you are fine/ So, let’s start.

Introducing the topic.

-Let’s have a brainstorming now.

-What types of media do you know?

(TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, Internet).

-How often do you watch TV?

-What about the newspapers? Are there any newspapers published in Stakhanov?

(Yes, there are some: ‘Stakhanovskoe Znamia”, “Kazachii Vestnik”)

-What articles of these papers are the most interesting for you?

(articles about schools, sports, news of culture, about health, TV guide, shocking news, horoscopes)

- And what about magazines? Are there any magazines for teenagers?

(I don’t know.- I think there are very few of them,)

-Right you are! Would you like to talk about teenage magazines? So, what is the topic of our lesson?

-At the lesson we will- revise the words,

-read the text about British teenage magazines,

-talk about teenage magazines,

-do projects.

-As you know there are a lot of different types of magazines. They give us different information. The information is written in articles. And articles have titles. Titles help us understand what the article is about.

- Now match the titles to the information which you can find in magazines. Find the titles in your books on page 41. Do it in the cards in the form of a test.

-And now let’s finish our work on the project. You got the task to join in groups and make a design of the cover of teens magazine and present it to the class. Then we will discuss your designs. You have 5-6 minutes for your work, till music is playing.

-Do you like to play games? Let’s play “A journalist”. You had to make an interview for your magazine. But you are a very absent-minded journalist and you have lost the questions of your interview. But you have the answers. Help the journalist reconstruct the interview.
