Тема: Конкурс скороговорок, пословиц и поговорок

Цели: 

1. Поддержание интереса к изучению иностранного языка.

2. Тренировка лексических навыков.

3. Развитие языковой догадки и логического мышления.

Оборудование: наборы пословиц и поговорок для каждой команды; задание на карточках, плакат с игровым полем для игры «Морской бой»

• Организационный момент.

Good afternoon! You remember that our topic is Reading. People who record audiobooks need to have really good pronunciation and tongue twisters are the best way to practice.

• Tongue Twister Team Competition

Divide into small teams. Choose a tongue twister in your group. Practise it and choose your best person to do it in front of the class. You have 3 opportunities to do it correctly. I write down the best time for correctly said tongue twisters.

Allie’s alligator ate apples.

Bobby’s brother bought beautiful bowls.

Carter carried carrots carefully.

Donna danced during dinner.

Earlene eagerly eats eel.

Fred fell feet first.

George gladly goes golfing.

Haddie has hot hamburgers.

(Repeat the game with a different tongue twister each time with a different team member reciting it in public.)

Today we shall play the game «Sea Battle». We have two teams/ Every team has ships. You will try to guess where the ship of the enemy is. Then you will have the task. If the pupils of the team do the task better, they will have the ship. At the end of the game the teams will count the ships and we shall find out who the winner is. Good luck!

5) Live and learn. (Век живи – век учись).

• «Расшифруй пословицу»

Пословица зашифрована цифрами. Команда получает код. Кто быстрее расшифрует и запишет пословицу – побеждает.
