Santa Clause and gnomes are coming to town.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!

In summer sun or winter snow,
A coat of green you always show.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!

Song: “Santa Clause is coming to town”

Father Christmas: I’m here, children. Hello, children and teachers!

Merry Christmas to you,
Merry Christmas to me,
Merry Christmas to all your friends,
Where ever they may be.
Merry Christmas to school
And to your teachers too.
Merry Christmas to every one
And I wish my wish comes true.

The first group

Now, I’ll tell you short story about Christmas.

You know that 25-th of December is a great holiday for many people. On that day such countries as Great Britain, the USA, France, Canada and many others celebrate Christmas. I hope you know why this holiday was named Christmas.
Many-many years ago Christ was born. So this was the birthday of Christ. And since that time people began to celebrate his birthday – and named this holiday – Christmas.
And as every birthday it became a good, kind, merry and bright family holiday. Not only small children but people of all age wait for this day.
Some weeks before Christmas people are busy. They send greeting cards to all their relatives and friends. People buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, coloured balls and little coloured lights. On Christmas Eve people put their presents under the tree.

OK. Let’s meet our participants.

The first group is from the 5th forms “___________________”

The second group is from the 6th forms “New Year presents

The third group is from the 7th forms “Snowmaidens

OK. Let’s begin our festival. Good luck for everybody.

(Each team introduces themselves)

The next stage is “Drawing” . You must draw on theme Merry Christmas.

You have only 7 minutes.

Some pupils prepare their poems and wishes for Christmas. Now listen them.

Christmas comes with children singing,
Christmas comes with sleigh bells ringing,
Christmas comes with frosty nights,
Christmas comes with snowball fights.

It was early in the morning,

One day in old December;

A very happy, joyous day

That children all remember,

When Santa, on his mission fleet,

To the nursery came creeping,

And left the fine new Paris doll

Among the others, sleeping.

OK. Next stage was your hometask . You must prepare “flashmob”. Are you ready? OK. Good luck.

(Pupils dance their Flashmob)
