Цель: Развитие навыков коммуникативной компетенции по теме «Театр».

Тип урока: Совершенствование знаний, умений, навыков, полученных ранее, и применение усвоенного.

Планируемые результаты:

1. Предметные:

- систематизация и автоматизация лексического материала по теме;

- развитие навыков устного высказывания на уровне предложения;

- умение извлекать конкретную информацию из услышанного, прочитанного;

2. Личностные:

- развитие умения проявить свою индивидуальность, отбирать и структурировать информацию;

- развитие навыков критического мышления.

Ход урока.

1. Приветствие T: Good morning dear children. I’m glad to see you.

Введение в тему: Today we are going to speak about interesting topic. But you will guess the theme of our lesson. Look at the screen. Answer the questions of the crossword and you will know the theme. (Слайд 2-17)

The questions:

  1. A special natural artistic ability. P: talent

  2. A role that actor plays. P: character

  3. The art place where the action takes place. P: decoration

  4. А man who plays a role. P: actor

  5. The area where actors perform. P: stage

-T: Fantastic! You are absolutely right! It’s THEATRE.

Did you guess what we are going to speak about? Yes, will speak about theatre.

2. Речевая разминка.

-T: Let’s begin our lesson with brain storm. What immediately comes into your mind when you hear the word “theatre”. (Слайд -18)

-P1: actors and actresses.

-P2: famous theatres.

-P3: performances.

-P4: emotions.

-P5: types of theatres.

-P6: stage etc.

-T: Good of you. Let’s sum up! (Слайд 19) Theatre is a special building where actors play, sing, dance and wear costumes. People can see different plays at the theatre.

-T: 1. Are you a theatergoer? How often do you go to the theatre?

-P1: Yes, I’m. I try to go there regularly.

-T: When did you last go to the theatre? Whom do you go to the theatre with?

-P2: I went there last weekends. Sometime I go there with my parents and sometime with my friends.

-T: What is your favourite kind of theatre? Which do you like better: drama, opera or ballet?

-P3: I prefer drama to all other theatres, but also I like opera and musical comedy.

-T: Now I would like to refresh in your memory different kinds of theatres and performances. What types of theatres do you know? (Слайд 20-21)

-P1: I know different types of theatres Drama theatre, Opera and Ballet theatre, Musical Comedy theatre, Young People's theatre, Children's theatre etc.

-T: What theatrical performances can we see in a theatre? (Слайд 22-23)

-P1,2,3…: melodrama мелодрама; drama драма; musical мьюзикл; musical сomedy музыкальная комедия/ оперетта; tragedy трагедия; tragicomedy трагикомедия; opera, operetta опера, оперетта; ballet балет.

-T: And what about you? What genres do you prefer and why?

-P1: I like comedies because they make me laugh. Some of them are “The Elder Son» by Vampilov, “The Forest” by Ostrovsky.

-P2: I`m fond of tragedy. They are sad and moving. I usually cry when I watch tragedies. Some of them “Hamlet”, “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare.

-P3: I enjoy ballet very much because it makes me understand the beauty of human body. It is the most exciting thing in the world.

-P4: As for me, I like all genres. Each of them is really unique and special. People put many efforts to write a play and later on to find actors, to choose good music.

-T: You’ve chosen your favourite genre. But who’ll play the main role in it?

Now, let’s do a casting. You know that actors must speak correctly. Please,

pronounce the proverbs as quickly as you can.:

“As is well, that end well”.

“Don’t trouble trouble until trouble troubles you”.

4. Активизация лексики. (Слайд 25)

-T: Let’s review! Look at the picture and name the parts of the theatre.

Answer.

  1. stalls - партер; 2. (an) orchestra pit – оркестровая яма; 3. (a) stage - сцена; 4. curtains/(a) curtain - занавес; 5. gallery - галерка; 6. balcony - балкон; 7. (a) box - ложа; 8. circle –верхний ярус.

-T: Where do you prefer to seat in the theatre?

-P: I prefer to sit in the stalls, because they are not too far and not too close to the stage.

5. Аудирование. T: Do you know any famous theatres (известные театры мира)?

-P: I know Bolshoi Theatre, La Scala, The Globe Theatre etc.

-T: Let’s listen to the information about famous theatres of the world. Try to find a suitable picture to each recording and guess what nation it belongs. Do it in pairs!

(Ученики после прослушивания должны внести данные в таблицу название театра и указать страну и город).

1. Traditional Japanese theatre (Kabuki) - Japanese, Tokyo;

2. Moscow Bolshoi Theatre (the Russian Ballet Theatre) - Russia, Moscow;

4. The Sydney Opera House - Australia, Sydney;

5. Covent Garden (The Royal Opera House) - England, London;

6. The British National Shakespeare Theatre (The Globe Theatre) - England, London.

-T: Look at the screen and check, please! (Слайд 26-28) …Well done!

5. Физзарядка.

-T: I think you’re tired, we should have a rest. Do you want to be an actor? Then, stand up, please. You are musicians. Show me - you are playing the violin, piano, guitar... You are artists. You are painting a picture. You are soldiers. You are marching. You are playing basketball, volleyball, football… You are dancing and singing a song. You are writing a poem etc. (Учащиеся показывают движения) And now show me your emotions. You are happy, sad, funny, angry, scared etc. (Учащиеся показывают эмоции)

You are good actors. Thank you. Take your seats, please.

6. Проверка домашнего задания.

-T: In the previous lesson, we read the part of the story “The Twelfth Night” by W. Shakespeare. It is a romantic comedy written for the Elizabethan stage, in 1600. The full title is Twelfth Night, or What You Will. Shakespeare wrote the play in the festive spirit of the Twelfth Night of the Christmas season, January 6, as part of events celebrating the holiday season. The play uses mix-ups, pranks, and comic dialogue to achieve its effect. Two centuries later Charles and Mary Lamb told the play in the form of a story for children. (Слайд 29-30)

-T: Your home task was to complete the story with the “time words” that help to structure it. (Приложение 2)

-T: Look at the screen, please! I`m going to introduce you a clip of the film "Twelfth Night - Animated Tales" by Matt Twinley. Your task is to fill in the missing words. (Каждому ученику раздается текст со словами из фильма, нужно на слух вставить пропущенные слова (Приложение 3))

-T: Let’s check! (Слайд 32)

-P:1,2,3… (parentage – происхождение, родословная; brother; drowned – утонувшая; mistook – перепутала; Boy; proper cost – надлежащая стоимость; habits – привычки, в данном контексте одеяния.

-T: That’s correct! Good of you!

  1. Ролевая игра. Развитие диалогической речи.

-T: Do you like acting? Did you join any drama club or drama centre? Well, I see most of you like theatre. It’s great! I think, we’re ready to play a role-game. I’ll give you the tickets with the tasks, you should divided into groups. Everyone should play his role. (Дети путем жеребьевки вытаскивают билеты, а затем готовятся к ответу)

-T: Let’s start! I wish you “break a leg”. (Group 1, ticket 1-2…) Well done! You’re brilliant actors and actresses. (Приложение 4-9)

-T. You worked hard at the lesson. This work was interesting and useful for everybody. You have learned some information about theatre. What new things have you learned? Did you like the lesson? What has been difficult? Give your ideas.

Famous theatres of the world

1. Traditional Japanese theatre includes Kabuki, Noh and the puppet theatre. The Kabukiza Japanese Theatre (in the center of Tokyo)

The classical Japanese theatre combines on the stage drama, music, dance and poetry.

2. Moscow Bolshoi Theatre (1825): This is a famous theatre in the capital of Russia.
