Imagine that you are doing a project «Healthy Habits» together with your friend. You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2,5 minutes be ready to:

— give a brief description of the photos, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;

— say in what way the pictures are different, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;

— mention the advantages and disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of these drinks;

— express your opinion on the subject of the project — whether you think healthy habits should be developed from early childhood.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (2−3 sentences for every item of the plan, 12−15 sentences total). You have to talk continuously.

Рекомендации по подготовке:

1. Так как задана коммуникативная ситуация, необходимо поприветствовать друга и сказать, с какой целью создано сообщение.

2. Кратко опишите фотографии. Постройте рассказ от общего к частному.

3. Назовите две детали и покажите их связь с темой проекта. Важно, чтобы эти детали действительно имели отношение к теме проекта.

4. Сравните два фото, показав их отношение к теме проекта. Нужно показать одно-два различия.

5. Потом надо показать преимущества и недостатки предмета, указанного в задании  

6. После этого мы возвращаемся к фотографиям и объясняем, как они относятся к теме проекта.

7. Высказываем мнение о проекте: “In my opinion, …

8. Чтобы отразить ситуацию общения, нужно использовать любую подходящую завершающую фразу, например: “That’s what I wanted to discuss with you. Bye for now”.

1)Hey, Kate. You know that? I’ve just found some photos for our project “Healthy Habits” and I`d like to discuss them with you.

2)In each photo there are people. The photos are related to our project and have a few things in common. They are enjoying different drinks. In the first photo there is a young woman drinking soda. In the second photo there is a little boy, he is making juice.

3)There are some differences as well. Obviously, both of these pictures are related to different habits, so that they illustrate our project better. For instance, in the first picture the young lady is somewhere near the beach and drinking soda that is unhealthy as opposed to the boy in the second picture, who is squeezing the orange juice by himself, that is a good example of healthy habit.

4)In my opinion, the two types of drinks have their advantages and disadvantages. For example, soda is really comfortable, people do not spend time on making it and they can drink it almost everywhere. However, it is generally high in calories so that it is not healthy. At the same time, fresh orange juice is very healthy. But it requires some preparations, moreover, it should be drunk immediately.

5)As for me, I think healthy habits should be developed from early childhood. It may help people live long and healthy life.
