The text “Sport in our life”
All over the world people of different ages are fond of sports and games. Sport helps people to become healthy and strong, keeps them fit and they look attractive. Physical exercises make people feel and look better. Sport also keeps people in a good mood. It makes people more organized, responsible and disciplined in their daily life. Sport gives people a great opportunity to socialize with people who have similar interests. Really, it is a powerful means of integrating people. So we have all grounds to say that sport is one of the things that makes people kin. That is why it is very important to popularize sport.
Many people go in for sports on their personal initiative. Some people do sports for their health or just for pleasure. Other people go in for sports for professional aims and hope to make a career in sport in the future. They go in for swimming, tennis, volleyball, football, basketball, skiing, skating, fitness, etc. Sport is an essential part of their daily activity. Sport is also paid much attention to in our educational establishments. All necessary facilities for doing sports are provided for people: stadiums, sports grounds, swimming-pools, fitness centers, courts, skating rinks, football fields, skiing stations, gyms. Any person can choose sports and games for any season and for any taste.
Among the popular sports in our country are football, tennis, swimming, volleyball, ice-hockey, boxing, basketball, gymnastics, fitness.
As for me, my favourite sport is football. I have been playing football since I was 10 years old and the more I play the more I like it. Football is one of the most popular games all over the world. Millions of fans watch the football games on television or at the stadiums. I try to watch every football match on TV. I enjoy both watching and playing football. I do my training with great pleasure, always try to do my best and want to play as well as our best players do.
If you want to be healthy and keep fit you must go in for one kind of sport or another. This is true both for young people and for adults. We all need to exercise. Even if you don't plan to make a career in sport you should practice because regular exercises give you more strength and energy. This is my opinion and I feel like it is true.
