To develop speaking, reading skills, to develop pupils habits in making short conversations to bring up responsibility and love.

Procedure of the lesson:

Teacher: Good evening, dear teachers, pupils, guests. I am very glad to see you. Today we begin our open upbringing lesson «Kazakhstan- Scotalnd, Astana- Glasgow- the bridge of friendship». Our lesson will be held in the form of a TV program.

Корреспондент: ?аза?стан: There are the pupils in our studio in Astana. They want to meet with Scottish pupils and ask questions. They want to know more about Scotland.

John Baker:- Ok! There are the pupils of Glasgow here are too. Our correspondent interviews them.

Correspondent Glasgow: Good morning, dear pupils! Please tell about yourselves. 

First pupil: My name is Selena. I am sixteen and I live in Glasgow. We have today good opportunity to see and speak with our friends from Kz. We are all interested in history and about great people of Kazakhstan and we are sure that friendship betweeen Kz and Scotland will be stronger from year to year.

Second pupil: My name is Jane. I am in the 10-th form too. Our class is very friendly .we go together to the parties, to the theaters, the meetings. We spend our time very nice. I want to meet with a girl form Kazakhstan.

Third pupil: My name is Domini. I want to know about Kazakhstan. Please , tell us what country Kazakhstan is.

1-pupil: The republic of Kz is situated in the Central Asia. The area of Kz is 2 753 000 square kilometers. Its population is about 16 million.  The population lives mostly in towns and cities and large villages. The largest cities are Almaty, Karaganda, Shymkent, Pavlodar, Astana.  Astana is the capital of KZ. It is situated in the central part of the country. Kazakh is official language of the country. This year we celebrated the 23-rd Universary the Independece of Kazakhstan.

Pupil (Kazakhstan): Tell about Scotland, please!

2-nd pupil Asem: Scotland is a country in the north of Great Britain. It is a part of the United Kingdom. Scotland is divided into three natural regions: The Southern Uplands, The Central Lowlands, and the Highlands and Islands. A lot of places in Scotland are a natural paradise, still untouched by man. The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh, well known for its castle. Glasgow is the Industrial capital of Scotland. It is the third largest city in Great Britain. The typical products of Scotland are timber, whisky, salmon.Golf is the Scottish natural sport and it seems to have originated in this country.

3-rd pupil Kurmangul: Scotland is the northern part of Great Britan. 5 million people live in Scotland, Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. There are too large cities here: Glasgow and Aberdeen. Scotland is full of mountain and lakes. The highest mountain is Ben Nevis. 

Pupil (Kazakhstan) Mariyam: What can you say about the Glasgow?

4-th pupil Akbilek: Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and the third largest in The UK. Before 1750 Glasgow was the small town. It had cathedral and a university but it was not a rich town.  Ships brought tobacco to Glasgow and took back Scottish.

Pupil Scotland Jadyra: I want to know about the national flag of KZ?

Pupil Kazakhtan (Venera): The national flag of Kz is blue. It is the colour of the cloudless sky, which is the symbol of piece. There is the sun in the centre of the flag. It is the symbol of life the source and energy. The steppe eagle is the symbol of Independence, freedom and state power. The yellow ornament is the symbol of Kz art. The author of the flag is the Shaken Niyazbekov.

Pupil Kz (Kumis): Please tell about the National flag of Scotland?

Pupil Zhanatbek: The Scottish flag is a white cross on a blue background. This cross of Saint Andrew. St Andrew was the disciple of Jesus [?d?i?z?s]- Thistle is national emblem of Scotland. The legend tells us why this palnt became a symbol of the country.

Pupil Scotland Aidana: What can you say about Great people Kz?

Pupil (Kazakhstan) ____________: The famous Kazakh poets and writers: Abai Kunanbaev. Abai translated works of Pushkin, Lermontov, Gothe, Tolstoi, Sltykov-Schedrin and of other poets and writers into Kazakh.

Pupil (Scotland):_________ we want to know about great compatriots of KZ.

Pupil 1(Kazakhstan): Speaking about great compatriots, we must mention the names of Al-Faravi and Tschokan Valikhanov.

Al-Farabi was a scientisy of encyclopedic knowledge, a philosopher. He wrote about 200 works. He was the first who created a complete system of studies about human soul.

Pupil 2 (KZ): Chokan Valicanov a great historian, publicist, linguist, geographer, musician, archeologist, ethnographer, and traveler did a lot for his people. He studied people’s life, their traditions, customs, religion and language. We are proud of its great people who made a valuable contribution to development it science and art culture and literature.

Correspondent (Scotland): the next stage of our program is the show of talents. Our pupils prepared their poems and songs.
