Project summary:

Every year it becomes difficult to deal with things which lead our health in danger. This topic is extremely important and relevant now. Its value lies in the fact that the students can see clearly in the harmful effects of junk food on the human health and body and the importance of exercise. Children will learn to be attentive to their health, acquire life experience.

The basis of the project:

Educational standards:

Theoretical knowledge of pupils about healthy lifestyles. Using knowledge of information technology, to form healthy habits, food culture, responsible attitude to their health. To develop the ability to collect (including using of Internet resources) and provide information on a given topic.

Intended learning outcomes:

Students will acquire the following skills:

  • personality: the project will help to form healthy habits, food culture and sense of responsibility for the preservation and strengthening of their health to live a long life; to expand knowledge and skills on the topic;
  • transdisciplinarity: the formation of skills of independent work; developing the ability to see the problem and outline solutions; to develop the skills of group work; to develop the skills of public speaking;
  • subject: development of skills to use the thematic vocabulary and active grammar in a situation of discussion.

Questions that will guide the project

Essential question:

How do healthy habits help us to stay stronger and live longer?

Problem questions:

  • Should we care about what we eat?
  • What are consequences of a life without movement?
  • To smoke or not to smoke?

Training questions:

  • How do you understand concepts “health”, “healthy lifestyle”?
  • Why physical exercise is very important?
  • What foods are detrimental to human health?
  • How do smoking, alcohol influence on human health?
