Essential question: How is our understanding of culture and society constructed through and by language?

To evaluate essential questions I used following criteria:

1.Is it open-ended?

Yes, it is. It requires more than one thought and it typically will not have a single answer.

2.Is it provocative?

Yes, it is. Because students will be interested to learn grammar material by discussing learning a new language

3.Is it challenging?

No, it is not. I think it isn`t complicated question.

Comments: Overall, I can say that essential question was good. Students like it, such as it is not very challenging, it is interesting.

Totally I give 80 points from 100.
