Happy Victory Day!

75 years ago, the Great Patriotic War, which lasted 4 long years and claimed millions of lives, ended in the defeat of Nazi Germany. Since then, Victory Day is annually celebrated on May 9 in all cities and villages of our homeland. This is the time when tribute is paid to the heroes who fought in the battles, to the soldiers who did not return from the front, to all those who worked in the rear and did everything they could to survive and win.

Today, we celebrate the forces of freedom who defeated tyranny and emerged victorious in that monumental struggle. We pay tribute to those who served for their service and pause to remember those who gave their last full measure in defense of the flames of liberty.

The message of this day is "never give up, never despair", remembering the sacrifices of the Second World War generation.
