Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку в 6 классе «Интеллектуальная игра-соревнование на тему: « Exciting Travelling». Цели игры:

1. Воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета

2. Развивать креативные способности учащихся.

3. Обобщить страноведческие знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Предметные результаты:

1. В ходе творческой, самостоятельной, индивидуальной и групповой работы с дидактическими материалами закрепить знания учащихся по изученным темам, расширить общий кругозор.

Метапредметные результаты:

1. Развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение. 2. Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Личностные результаты:

1. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

2. Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи). Оформление кабинета: На доске:

-презентация игры «Восхитительное путешествие»;

- карта Соединённого Королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии;

- аудиозапись песни «Do you live in London?».

Ход мероприятия

1.Оргмомент. Приветствие ведущего. T: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called “Exciting Travelling”. Two teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest students. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1^stteam?

P1: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Erudites”. Our motto is “Enjoy English!”. T: Who is the captain of the 2^nd team? P2: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Optimists”. Our motto is “Learn English!”. (Состав команд, их названия и девиз определяются заранее). T: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. I have invited a competent jury to count the points. The members of our jury are … Now I’m going to tell you how to play this game. The game has 11 stations, they are:

1. Food.
2. The ABC game.
3. A magic 5.
4. Parts and wholes.
5. Proverbs and sayings.
6. A tongue-twister.
7. Great Britain.
8. The right choice.
9. Word Station.
10. Grammar Station.
11. Inventions and discoveries ( если останется время).

Station 1. «Food»:

Закончите предложения:

12) Подкислит нам крем он - сочный, кислый.lemon - лимон)

13) Взрослые, детки, ни капли не врут: нужны для здоровья и роста вам.(fruit)

15) Хлеб им мажут все ребята, нам даёт корова.(butter )

Station 2. “The ABC game”.

T: And now we come to the 2^nd station of our travelling, which is called “The ABC game”. Kids, you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the English-speaking country. You have 1 minute for this task. Each team can get 5 points. (Карточки с буквами: 1.SCOTLAND. 2. AUSTRALIA.)

Station 3. “A magic 5”. T: And now we come to the 3^rd station, which is called “A magic 5”. Look at the square, each team will take turns in answering questions. You’ll choose any number. “ …”, it’s your turn to start. Captains will have an opportunity to choose the number. You can get 5 points for the right answer.

1. Say or sing the English alphabet.
2. Name 5 colours.
3. Name 5 sorts of vegetables.
4. Name 5 school subjects.
5. Name 5 domestic animals.
6. Name 5 sorts of fruit.
7. Name 5 sports.
8. Name 5 professions.
9. Name 5 things that people wear.

Station 4. “Parts and wholes”.

T: The 4^th stop is called “Parts and wholes”. I need 1 pupil from each team. You should combine these parts so as to get a popular name. Who will be the first? You can get 1 point for each right answer. 1. Mickey a) Claus 2. Mary b) Duck 3. Robinson c) Pooh 4. Peter d) Mouse 5. Donald e) Poppins 6. Winny-the- f) Crusoe 7. Santa g) Pan

T: At the same time our teams have to take part in our travelling and it’s called “Proverbs and sayings”. Each team will get a list of words. You should rearrange the words so as to make up 3 proverbs. You have 2 minutes for the task and can get 3 points for it. (Обе команды получают одинаковый набор слов, из которых должны получиться 3 английские пословицы).

Station 5. A tongue-twister. T: The following task is for a minute of the rest. I need 1 fan from each team. You should read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can 3 times.

1. Put your head on your bed.
2. Run round the playground.

Station 6. “Great Britain”.

T: Attention, please! Our travelling comes to the 6^th station, which is called “Great Britain”. Here you should answer the questions about the UK.

1. What is the official name of Great Britain? (The UK of GB and Northern Ireland)

2. How many countries does the United Kingdom consist of? (4)

3. Name the 4 countries of the UK.

Station 7. “The right choice”.

T: The 7^th station is called “The right choice”. It’s very important to make the right choice in our life: the right choice of a hobby, a friend, a future career, etc. Each team should answer my questions. You’ll get the cards with the letters a, b, c. Choose the right answer and show us the card.

Each team can get 1 point for the right answer.

Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов игры. T: Our “Exciting Travelling” is over. While our jury is coming to some decisions, now I offer you to listen to the song “Do You Live in London?”` and sing together with British children. Our jury will add up 1 more point to the score of the team.
