Theme: How are you? How old are you? The aims of the lesson:
Educational: To enable students to greet each other in English and to make simple introductions and identify people by name.
Developing: to develop pupils’ abilities in speaking, writing, reading skills, in expressing their own opinions, to improve their pronunciation, memory, to enrich students; outlook.
Up bringing: to motivate the students in learning the foreign language, to create an English speaking atmosphere and work in groups.
Visual aids: textbook “English V” (T. Ayapova), cards, pictures, blackboard, typescript with the songs “The ABC”, “Clap your hands”, “Ten Little Numbers”, “Happy birthday” The procedure of the lesson. 1. Generation 1.1. Greeting and checking attendance - Good afternoon, pupils! - I’m glad to see you! - Sit down, please! 1.2. Phonetic drill Mr.Tongue : [o: - o: - o:] С : [d – d - d]. Mr.Tongue : [g u d]. Warming up Now let’s revise how we greet each other in English and polite words: Now let’s play a game “How are you today?”. You see different smiles on your desks. Look at your smile and answer my question. Now let’s play a game. I’ll throw you a ball and ask a question, you should answer it. What’s your name? Where are you from? Where are you from in Kazakhstan? How are you? How old are you? Which class are you in? Now please ask each other. 1.4. Checking up homework At home you were to learn the dialogue by heart. Before acting it out let’s revise it once more. Put the lines from your dialogue in thу correct way: Colin: Hello, Omar. Omar: Hello, how are you? Colin: I’m fine, thank you. And you?
