Essential question: What peculiarities does “Nauryz” holiday include in different countries?

Time: 3 hours

Aim: expand their knowledge about Nauryz holiday in different countries.

Objectives:

• to improve students’ speaking, listening, writing and reading skills;
• to develop students’ vocabulary of clothes, food and games
• to develop students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
• to discover unknown peculiarities of international Nauryz holiday in different countries.

• to do Poster, PowToon, Video of Nauryz holiday in different countries
• to demonstrate peculiarities of Nauryz holiday in different countries
• to work in collaboration with each other in friendly atmosphere
• to use basic vocabulary related to clothes of each country, and food

Essential question is:

Challenging: Yes it is. Every country has it is own national festivals which include treasure of country, students want to know the importance of Nauryz because it is international holiday and celebrated widely and interesting theme for students.

Open-ended: Yes it is, because question has different answers

According to the level of complexity, this question requires students to find and synthesize different types of information.

According to the level of coherence, this question provides the project activities, which involve students in the research, and helps students to understand and respect the culture,

According to the level of authenticity, it is connected with real life.
