Protocol for the project: "Healthy lifestyle" by Aida Mutigullina and Sandina Kazman, 32-EK

Essential Question: How do healthy habits help us to stay stronger and live longer?

1.

Project overview (10 min)

Identify the project theme, grade level, and essential question with the students. Define aims and objectives of the project and skills. Sharing the responsibilities among the group members. Design a timeline and define possible sources of information.

2.

Activity Description (10 min)

Choose and describe an appropriate activity that fits your project parameters and the ability/interest level of the students.

a) Explain where you found the activity

b) Identify the main goal of the activity

c) Make changes you made to the activity appropriate your project, time limit, student interest/abilities.

Explain how you assess students ability/interest level before developing the activity.

3.

Presentation (20 min)

Sharing the information about the project that they have found individually, and discussing it in circle. Presenting the crafted essential question, activities to be accomplished and the form of presenting the project work. Teacher describe how students will be evaluated using rubric.

4.

Clarifying questions (5 min)

Students ask questions in order to clarify the aims of their project, about the length of the project and etc.

5.

Warm and cool feedback (15 min)

Students share their opinions about the project, while teacher remains as a neutral facilitator. They discuss the advantages of their work and then add some extra points to improve their project.

6.

Reflection (5 min)

Students reflect on suggestions made by other students and try to prove their point of view.

7.

Debriefing (5 min)

Discussion of the gained experience during the research work, evaluating the results.
