3.Visual aids: type-recorder, cassette, posters, flashcards, pictures.
I. Warm up: 1) Greet pupils as they come into the class
2) Phonetic train
3) Check up their homework
II. Active presentation: Pupils open their books at p.40-41
The children look at the pictures and try to understand new words. NEW WORDS: tall, short, pretty, ugly, young, old, thin, fat. The pupils write these words in their dictionaries.
Then the children listen to ex.1 and repeat. For example:
She is short. He is tall.
And they must to remember: He’s=He is. She’s=She is.
III. Grammar exercises
The pupils look at ex.2. They ask and answer the questions. For example:
Is she pretty? Yes, she is.
Is she old? No, she isn’t.
Then the children do ex.3 in written form. They choose the answers. For example:
Is he short? Yes, he is.
Is he thin? No, he isn’t.
