занятия по английскому языку


Тема: «Choosing a career»

Цели:

  • образовательная: создать условия для формирования навыков устной речи по теме «Выбор профессии»;

  • развивающая: развить внимание, наблюдательность, самостоятельность мышления, умение выделять главное, сравнивать и анализировать;

  • воспитательная: способствовать воспитанию положительного интереса к изучаемому предмету, уважительного отношения к различным видам профессиональной деятельности.

Сопутствующие задачи: развивать навыки монологической и письменной речи; активизировать ранее изученную лексику в устной и письменной речи; совершенствовать навыки чтения.

Оборудование: ПК, интерактивная доска, кроссворд, карточки с заданиями, видеоклип Profession Song.

ХОД занятия:

I. Организационный этап

- Good afternoon! How are you? I’m glad to see you.

What day is it today?

What is the date today?

Today we are going to talk about the world of professions.

(уч-ся приветствуют преподавателя)

II. Речевая зарядка

-Before we start our lesson, I’d like you to ask some questions.

1. What professions are popular among the young people in our country?

2. What professions are prestigious in our country?

3. Do you like your future profession? Why?

4. What do you think, who helps you to choose a profession?

-Thanks for your answers.

(уч-ся отвечают на вопросы)

III. Фонетическая зарядка

-My friends! Look at our screen, you see the poem “I want to be”.

-I’d like you to read this poem. Any volunteers?



I want to be”

Some people often say to me:

“Have you decided what you want to be?”

I usually answer “I don’t know.”

But it isn’t really so.

I want to win an Olympic race.

I want to see the Earth from space,

I want to travel to Katmandu.

I want to reach and famous, too.

I want to be on Hollywood’s screen.

I want to invent a new machine,

I want to be very clever and wise,

I want to win the Nobel prize,

But most off all, I want to be

Healthy, strong and nice.

-Now I want you to translate this poem.

IV. Проверка домашнего задания

-Your homework was to write an essay about your future profession. Let’s listen to your essays. You are welcome!

(один уч-ся рассказывает сочинение о своей будущей профессии)

V. Актуализация лексического материала по теме урока

-
There are many of professions all over the world. There is no need to name all of them. But, I’d like you to do the crossword with me. It’s time for a guessing-game. What profession is it? I’ll describe you a profession and you write the word in our crossword.

-OK, let’s start!

-Well done! (уч-ся делятся на две группы, отгадывают кроссворд)

VI. Развитие навыков чтения

-Now, let’s read the text about the working aims and answer the questions after the text.

People's ideas about work and jobs have changed over the years. About 3,000 years ago, people worked for one reason – to survive. Work was hard. People did what they had to do to meet their needs. About 500 years ago, people in the West began to see work as more than a way to survive. People worked to serve God, their country, and their families. Then, about 200 years ago, a new idea about work arose. This idea was that people should enjoy the work they do.

When people think about jobs today, they still work to survive. They still work to help others. But they look for more. They want a career that they will enjoy. People can choose among thousands of different careers. For example, a person can be a salesperson, reporter, or technician. They can choose almost any career they want.

  1. What do you already know about jobs?

  2. Why do people have to work?

  3. What skills are necessary for different jobs?

  4. What kinds of jobs do you enjoy most?

  5. What qualities are valued?

VII. Релаксация

-Let’s have a rest. Now you will listen to the funny song about different types of professions. Please, listen to it and sing this song all together.

VIII. Развитие навыков говорения

-Let’s play the game. I give you some cards with the names of professions. You should describe every occupation, so you group mates guess it.

For example: Pilot - I work at the airport. I can fly an airplane. I fly people from place to place. I am responsible for the safety of their passengers. Welcome to our plane!
