Any person wants to feel happy . Holidays give us such an opportunity. This time is full of lights, happiness, meetings, chats, gifts and, of course, love.
About what Holidays?

New Year’s Day
On January , the 1st
It’s the most wonderful holiday. Much snow, bright sparkles, shining decorations, New Year’s balls - they all create the atmosphere of miracle. People usually drink champagne, eat salads, watch old New Year’s films and wish much happiness to each other.
New Year’s Day has its symbols: New Year’s tree, Father Frost, Snow-Maiden, snowman, tangerines, and sweets.
Christmas Day
On January , the 7th
This holiday is celebrated not so huge as New Year’s Day. It is a warm holiday which people usually spend in the family circle.
People go to church and pray for their relatives and close people.
Tatiana Day on January , the 25 th
It is a Russian religious holiday . The Russian Orthodox Church declared Saint Tatiana the patron saint of students , and Tatiana Day has become celebrated as Russian Students Day .
This day people congratulate all women whose names are Tatiana and also all students.
Defender of the Fatherland Day
On February, the 23rd
It is a day of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation
T he holiday celebrates people who are serving or were serving the Russian Armed Forces but unofficially, it’s the celebration of men in general. People usually congratulate all men.

Women's Day

This day is celebrated by all women. People usually congratulate women, present flowers (especially tulips) and prepare surprises.
Victory Day
On May , the 9 th Russia celebrates the victory over Nazi Germany, remembering those who died . It’s a very important holiday that can be characterized with the words honor, pain and tears.
Russians respect the act of soldiers’ bravery . People usually visit monuments and lay flowers (especially carnations) there. People congratulate veterans and thank them for the victory.
