3) Read the picture book aloud.

1) Students will practice their color vocabulary by finding objects that match their color list. Then we'll share our findings and reinforce the color names as a group.

2) Distribute a worksheet to each child. Each worksheet should have pictures of 5 animals (e.g., zebra, giraffe, swan, bear, panda) and cards with color names (red, yellow, blue, green, black).
Explain to children that each animal has a specific color (e.g., duck - yellow) and that they need to match each animal with the correct color card.
Review the completed tasks with the children, repeating the names of colors and animals.


1) Create a list with simple color tasks; prepare students for exploration.

2) Prepare art materials

Facilitate a discussion to reflect on the day’s learning about colors.
