Besides the typical family traditions that come with the holidays or birthdays, psychologists suggest families intentionally create traditions that aren’t tied to holidays. For example, Daily Connection Traditions, that are the small things you do every day to re-enforce daily identity and values. Your daily family “tradition” can also become watching TV together in the same room and discussing TV programms while everyone is staring at their own smart phone or tablet.
There may be also the so-called Weekly Connection Traditions. Similar to the Daily Connection Traditions, but done weekly. It could be a special Saturday morning breakfast or a weekly family game night. It’s also worth mentioning Life Changes Traditions.
These are traditions to celebrate big life changes or milestones in your family. These traditions can be something as simple as taking a yearly First Day of School picture or something a bit more profound like celebrating the years you have lived in a family home.

Facebook’s mission is to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. People use Facebook to stay connected with friends and family, to discover what’s going on in the world, and to share and express what matters to them. That’s taken directly from their mission statement.
But Social networks and social media in general have also become a convenient excuse not to do just that: connect. It’s become easier to scribble a couple of sentences for all to see rather than pick up the phone and have a real conversation with someone on the other end. And what’s actually pretty frightening is how we’ve come to accept opening our front door to the world as the norm.
Social media has turned the art of expression into a post-it note.

Britain is an urban country and about four fifths of the UK population lives in cities and towns. City life has its advantages and disadvantages and so does country life, however, there seems to be an increased interest in the country, especially among young families.
British cities and towns are packed with people and it is virtually impossible to step outside without being seen by or see other people. At the same time, most cities especially the large ones never sleep.
In the country, you are woken up by the singing of the birds rather than by the noise from the traffic. Homes in the countryside are surrounded by nature which has a soothing effect on both the mind and the body. In the country, you can easily grow enough fruits and vegetables for own consumption.

Reading a light-emitting e-book before bed is bad for your health, according to a new US study. It warned that the use of the devices affected both sleep at night and alertness the following morning.
Researchers from Harvard Medical School’s sleep medicine department put 12 healthy young adults through a two-week experiment, in which the participants would either read a light-emitting e-book for four hours before bedtime or a printed book. Study participants reading a light-emitting e-book took on average almost 10 minutes longer to fall asleep and said they were less sleepy an hour before bedtime than they were reading a paper book.
At the end of the day many people want to get away from their gadgets and have a rest from screens, so a printed book is perfect.

Acrobatic Dance is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined by unique choreography, acrobatic dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, lines and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context. The acrobatic technique includes hand balancing, twisted positions, falling down quickly and suddenly with a rolling movement and partnering, which all require a great degree of flexibility, coordination and strength.
Acrobatic Arts and conditioning classes will contain exercises that physically prepare students for the skills and aesthetic of both Acrobatic Arts and dance. Students from a variety of disciplines are welcome to attend, but may most appeal to youth enrolled in dance, gymnastics or martial arts.
Many of the elements of Acrobatic dance has interdisciplinary references to circus arts, gymnastics, contortion, yoga and dance.
