1 station – Trafalgar square
Trafalgar Square is a geographical center of London. It’s the largest among London’s squares. Trafalgar Square is the place where mass meetings, demonstrations and celebrations are held. So it can be said that Trafalgar square is the heart from which the beat is emitted to all Londoners.
2 station – nelson column
Nelson Column – the monument to the great English admiral who smashed the French Fleet in the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The square is named so to honour his victory.
3 station – tower bridge
The most famous bridge is Tower Bridge. It became one of the symbols of London of nowadays. You may also visit it if you wish and take some beautiful pictures.
4 station – the house of parliament
The house of Parliament is a place where the British Government sits. It is the largest modem building. It consists of three parts: the Royal Apartments, the House of Lords and the House of Commons.
5 station – big ben
the Houses of Parliament (Слайд №20) contains the famous Big Ben, a huge bell on the top of the Clock Tower, named after Sir Benjamin Hall, under whose direction the clock was built. Big Ben is the name of the bell only – not the clock, and not the tower. It weights 13.5 tons.
6 station – the British museum
It is the national museum of Britain. It has one of the world’s best collections of art. The British Museum was founded in 1753.

We are passing Hyde Park. It’s the largest park in the West End of London. In the 19th century it became a popular place for public gathering of all kinds
. Hyde Park is known for its Speaker’s Corner, where anyone can stand up and say what he wants.
8 station - Madam Tussaud’s Museum
Madam Tussaud’s Exhibition was opened in 1884. The exhibition consists of several halls. In the 1st hall you can see the famous “Sleeping Beauty”. with a mechanism that stimulates breathing.

The 2nd hall contains life-size wax models of the popular sportsmen, film stars, TV personalities, rock- and pop-music stars, the members of the royal family and other celebrities.
