Many graduates who feel the ambition to learn languages ask the question: «Which professions are associated with the knowledge of foreign language?" But they can’t receive a clear answer to this question neither in school nor in the books. And after all such professions are great variety! And it's not just a standard translator, diplomat, ambassador. In addition, there is also programmer, secretary, shop assistant, journalist, guide, hotel worker and many others. All of these professions demand knowledge in technical and social spheres, in economical and political spheres.

A list of occupations requiring knowledge of foreign languages is growing rapidly. Besides, for one job may be useful knowledge of one foreign language, and for another, you must study at least two or even more. Without a doubt, the leading position among foreign languages belongs to English because it was and remains the language of international communication and a language in which conduct researches, write computer programs and form the modern lexicon. It is the language of politics, diplomacy, business, science and sports. English is kept 80 per cent of the world information.

I am personally very interested in a carrier working in the field of tourism.

This job requires further study after Year 11. So I plan to go on higher education after school. If I'm lucky I'll be a travel agent or a travel manager. Most of all I like travelling and some time ago I started thinking of a travel manager’s career. To my mind, it’s very interesting. You help people in organizing their vacations, consult them on special aspects of travelling to different countries, book hotels for them and give recommendations for choosing tours, restaurants, places to visit.

On the one hand, this profession is suitable for young and attractive men and women with a high level of intelligence, with leadership qualities, ambitious and responsible, very energetic and active in life. On the other hand, foreign language skills are necessary for a travel manager and I realize it. 

Certain personal qualities are also required to succeed in this field. First of all, management is mainly dealing with people. As for me I have good communication skills that should help me in my future job. It requires knowledge of a foreign language, communication skills and a good memory because the client must be provided with information about countries and resorts, hotels and excursions. Moreover, specialists in the field of tourism should love their profession. To my mind, have enough money for your work is quite normal but if you can’t find satisfaction, pleasure, delight, enjoyment which is no less important than a good pay and a high ranking position, money is nothing, it won’t make you happy.

And at last, modern managers must be creative persons and only then their dreams are able to achieve their goals. Now I think that a travel manager’s career is a perfect choice for me. There is no doubt that I can work in the tourist sphere if I wish, but first, I should get a good traditional education and of course, I must learn English perfectly at school. Frankly speaking, learning any language is not an easy thing. However, everything is in your hands. The main thing is a strong desire and belief in your own strengths. As the English proverb says: "Where there is a will there is a way».

So you see, the role of English language is very high. Nowadays English language is the most prevailing and widespread language in the world. Professional sphere is the most important sphere in the world communication. According to this, sphere of professions and English language are closely connected. And the professional sphere is also connected with the whole world development. To get the prestige profession and to contribute in the world communication you have to know English.

In conclusion, I should say that in the modern world knowledge of foreign language is the norm for active and motivated people. Knowledge of a foreign language today is necessary for any educated person. If you are fluent in a foreign language, it will greatly expand your perspective on life. Knowledge of one or even several foreign languages is the key to a successful career. Knowledge of a foreign language is pride, confidence, support and affirmation.

English in my future profession

Nowadays English is considered the international language, it certainly can come in handy in my life and in my future career. I decided to choose such profession as a journalist. English is the main part of the work of a journalist. With good knowledge of English I would feel more confident in my work.

Now I would like to express my point of view on the problem of learning foreign languages. For a journalist often communicated with foreigners, English would be necessary. Especially, when the interviewer feels comfortable himself during the communication and there are no any bounds. The journalist often travels around the world collecting information, it is important to be able to adapt quickly and to communicate with citizens without any constraint or difficulties, not knowing the language is a huge obstacle. He needed at international conferences, congresses and festivals, and when visiting such events, it would be important to feel this atmosphere.

It is a well-known fact that the journalist must be able to transmit information without difficulty, to convey it to the listener. I will have the opportunity to translate articles without too much fuss. English contributes to the professional development and career growth. Knowing the language is more marketable as an employee, but have a good knowledge of English is more important, I can work abroad. And if I want to reach the international level, without English it is impossible. Journalist needs to be able to convey his thoughts and feelings clearly.

In addition, the English language contributes to personal development, expanding horizons. English is now an important part of this world, it promotes communication between citizens of different countries. English opens all new possibilities. It must be taught in order to discover great prospects.

We live in a world in which many people communicate with each other in English. Nowadays, English is very popular all over the world. Every year it is gaining popularity and becoming more frequently used. There are many professions related to the use of English, for example, a linguist or an interpreter.

The first thing that needs to be said is that English appeared three years ago in my life. I forced to learn German, but I liked English more. I enjoy studying English! Learning this language helps people to develop better and find new friends.

Another good thing about English in the future is that it will be very useful to me, even if it will not be a part of my profession. After finishing school I want to go to the philological faculty. If in my future I will be a philologist, foreign languages ​​will be very useful to me. With the help of English many opportunities will open up to me, for example, during practice I can go to another country and get a lot of experience, learn a lot of new things.

What is more English will be useful not only in my future profession, but also in my hobby. Since my childhood I really love to sing. I've been singing since I was five. Thanks to the English language, I can sing not only Russian songs, but also songs in English.

In a word, English is very important in our life and in our future career. Therefore, learning English is essential in today’s Global World. If a person wants to succeed in his chosen field he has to know English, so start to improve your English as soon as possible.

I think that English will gain popularity every year, because to study it, it's very interesting!

I'm in the tenth grade and already think about the choice of my career. As we know there are many professions in the world and all of them are necessary and important. Among them I chose the profession of journalist. For mastering this profession requires knowledge of Russian language, literature, history, social studies and English, of course.

The first thing that needs to be said is that I like to write notes in the newspapers about places I have visited. For example, I wrote a note about my trip to St. Petersburg for a competition. Besides, I gave an interview about my travelling to camp "Artek" in the Crimea. It is undeniable that the journalist illumines the real events happening in the country and in the world. This profession is interesting to me because journalist can travel round the world in search of interesting facts, to communicate with people from different countries.

Moreover it is necessary to have the knowledge of foreign languages, especially English. It is the most widely spoken language in the world. It is important that journalist can fluent in the language, especially in its spoken forms. The journalist must know the grammar, the syntax, and how to write articles in Russian and in English correctly.

One cannot deny that the journalist should be honest, competent on many issues of politics, economy and culture. I have the most concern to light cultural events and achievements of science. In my opinion these subjects are given very insufficient attention. I would like to create my own author's program on television. Personally I believe that it'll be represented in Russia and abroad.

Taking everything into consideration, I can say that the profession of a journalist requires a lot of knowledge and practical skills. English is an integral part of this profession. Every self-respecting journalist should know a foreign language in order his articles and reports might heard and read everyone all over the world.

It is undeniable that English plays a huge role in the life of a person who is striving for the successful development of his career. The most widely spread language on the planet is English, spoken by five countries: Great Britain, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Everyone knows that to get a good profession you need to know English. For example, a guide, a wonderful, creative profession, is in great demand in the world. Many tourist groups of people from different English-speaking countries come to Russia and are involved in the culture of Russia and often use the service of a guide. Outside of our country, Russians who visit English-speaking countries also need a guide. Russian people often visit distant corners of the planet, learning about culture, everyday life and many other interesting things with the help of a guide.

What is more this profession is for sociable, inquisitive people who want to communicate with interesting people from other countries. For the profession of a guide, excellent knowledge of English broad outlook, good speech, ability of the organizer, love of art, ability to interest customers, good friendly relations with different people are required.

Thus, English is a very popular language in our time, as different programs on the computer are made in this language, various instructions are written for technology, furniture and many other things. Every well-educated person should be able to speak English, it is the language of communication, business, culture and science. English lessons at my school are very interesting because I can learn a lot of words that will help me in my future profession. Let's learn English together!

In the intellectual and human enrichment of different specialists.

My name is Masha. I’m the 9^th former student. I am firmly sure the English language will help me in my future life. There are a lot of different and various kinds of jobs around the world. Of course, every profession needs specific approach, certain demand of knowledge and experience of worker.

It’s my strong belief that any specialist from teacher to mechanic, from gardener to cosmonaut, from artist to businessman demands certain knowledge of English.

Lately a lot of employers require specialists with knowledge of foreign languages. It means that English is needed in professional sphere. Therefore, the language of Englishman is wide popular in our society. In other words the role of English is huge and still actual.

From the very beginning when I came to my first lesson I fell in love with English language. Minutes ran with great speed, I was drawn into amazing world. In the first years of learning it I was interested in something new and unusual for me. Our teacher put me in an extraordinary atmosphere. Every day I learned more and more, and as the time passed I decided that the language will not just be my hobby but I connect it with my future profession. I’m dreaming to enter the Amur State University at the faculty of journalism. I am going to be a journalist and I do my best to make my dream come true. It is no secret what role English plays for a journalist. Firstly, the representatives of this profession often have to travel to different countries, to communicate with people of various nationalities and they face language barriers. In this case the English knowledge becomes the competitive advantage of a modern journalist. Secondly, people always want to stay informed about current events and latest news. Journalists need English for translations of interesting articles English language publishers, for translation quotes of important people that have value to their reports. If a journalist knows English he’ll be able to read information in original and avoid mistakes in translation.

At the same time most of population is interested in other people’s life. That’s why journalists think of numerous questions for interviews with celebrities and famous people. Having an inquisitive mind I’d be happy to hold an interview with outstanding persons in English.

At last, I would like to stress that knowing English you can realize itself in the field of journalism. A journalist has a unique opportunity to travel the world, learn culture of different countries. Enough perfectly know language to meet with the locals, learn from them the latest news and to tell readers or viewers about events, traditions, attractions of different peoples. This interesting occupation will bring positive emotions, foreign travels, good salary and fame. If you know English you will be a master one of the most interesting professions. You will become a highly paid professional. You get the job at the best publishing houses. You'll be proud of your profession. You will grow as a person and a professional.

Unfortunately, not all my classmates share my opinion. They are convinced that English won’t help them in life. In conclusion, I can say there are different points of view on this problem. So it is up to you to decide whether English is important for you or not. But as for me learning language is a matter of great importance. I will have a good and interesting job with high salary. I can travel abroad and communicate with other people, learn their lifestyle, customs and traditions without any problems. I can use the Internet easily, read books and articles and understand them. Of course, my English is not perfect now but I do my best to know it better. Success comes to those who keep on trying!
