Hi, my name is Jennet. I’m a teenager and I have got some nice friends. We go to the same school, and some of them are actually my classmates. None of us is picky and we are all loyal to each other. Usually I share hobbies and interests with my friends, but, as they say, no one in the world looks exactly the same. So we are both different and alike. What makes us different and what makes us alike? The main thing that makes us different is how we look. Most of my friends have brown hair, but my hair is dark. Our eyes are round and big, but I am not as tall as my friends. I am a little bit shorter than them.
Sometimes we may have different hobbies. Most of my friends are good at practical things, but I am a bookworm and like English literature very much. Recently I have joined the English club at our school, but some of my friends do tennis.

I think the best way to travel is to walk. When you go on foot you do not need any kind of transport. You can look around and watch the beauty of the buildings and landscapes. But it takes a lot of time to get somewhere on foot. If you don’t have much time and you are in a hurry it is better to use public transport. If you live not far from the underground, I advise you to use this means of transport. First of all, it's the fastest. Underground trains run every 3 to 5 minutes. It's a little more expensive than trams and trolley-buses but cheaper than most buses and minibuses. Moreover, you can choose to travel by trams, trolleybuses or buses as well. Besides you can also travel along the city by car if you have one. If you need to get somewhere in a short period of time you can order a taxi by telephone. But it can be expensive. I wish you to have a good time and nice impressions of the city.

Last night I was walking home when something strange happened to me. It was late and I had had a long and difficult day.
There was a large full moon in the sky and everything was quiet. I decided to stop by the riverside and look at the moon for a while. I sat very close to the water and looked up at the big yellow moon. I felt very tired so I closed my eyes and after a few minutes, I fell asleep. When I woke up the moon had moved behind a cloud and it was very dark and cold. Suddenly I heard a splash. When I looked down at the water I saw something green and strange, something very ugly – and it was moving towards me! I was very afraid. I had never been so scared in my life before. The cold green hand was moving closer and closer when suddenly a man wearing strange clothes shouted «Get Back!» and pointed at the monster in the water. There was a bright flash and the monster disappeared. I looked up at the man. He looked strange, but kind. «Don’t fall asleep by the river when there’s a full moon. The Moon Goblins will get you», he said. I had never heard of moon goblins before. I didn’t know what to do. There was another blue flash and I closed my eyes. When I opened them again, he had gone. I stood up, looked at the moon and quickly walked home.

1. Read the first paragraph of the text on exercise11 and ask special questions. Pg. 129. (English 7, 2019).
Hi there! I’m Perman. Among my favorite pastimes are watching cartoons, playing games on my tablet and collecting toy cars. Some of my favorite cartoons are «How To Train Your Dragon», «Cars», and «The Lion King». My parents let
me watch one or two cartoons or play a game on my tablet for an hour, but then make me read or make a craft. They say that too much screen time is bad for my health and won’t help me become smarter. I think it is okay to watch TV, but not too much. And some of my friends agree. A tiny bit of screen time is okay. But too much of it is not good for your brain.
Though my friends and I sometimes complain, we think that it’s good that our parents limit our technology time because sometimes we might stay inside all day watching TV and forget to do our homework. It is true that TV, tablets, and computers are fun, but we shouldn’t forget to play outside, read a book and help about the house.

Each morning, I rushed outside with great excitement to see how much they had grown. Then yesterday morning when I came into the kitchen, my mother waved to me to come to the window. I was shocked to see that everything outside was covered with ice – my plants too! I felt very sad. Later, the sun came out, and the ice began to melt. When I looked at my plants again, they were standing up straight and green. I can’t wait for them to flower, but I’ve learned my lesson.
