Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930)
Arthur Conan Doyle, the famous English writer, was born on the 22-nd of May in 1859.
He was one of ten children in his family. He did well at school but didn’t like it very much. After finishing school he studied medicine and became a doctor.
The main characters of his books are detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend doctor Watson. They made the writer famous all over the world.
He liked to travel all over the world. He was interested in many things such as ghosts and legends.
