Фрагмент урока по обучению аудированию английского языка

Тема: «Britain is more than London». Формирование навыков аудирования на уроке английского языка.

Класс: 8

Урок второй в теме. На предыдущем уроке обучающиеся получают первоначальное представление о Британии, о её символах и составляющих её странах.

Учебно-методический комплект: «English – 8» авторов Кузовлев В.П., Лапа Н.М., Перегудова Э.Ш.

 Задачи:

Образовательные:

• Научить извлекать информацию из прослушанного текста.

Развивающие:

• Развивать способность к догадке, способность логически излагать факты.

Воспитательные:

• Воспитывать толерантное отношение к чужой культуре.

Используемое оборудование: фонограмма текста на английском языке, презентация.

На предтекстовом этапе учитель организует беседу в целях антиципации обучающихся, введения их в тему занятия.

The teacher says pupils to look at some pictures.

T: What country do you associate with these people and events?

P1: I associate these people and events with Britain.

T:  What country are we going to talk about?

P2: About Britain.

T: Good! What is the full name of Britain?

P3: The full name of Britain is United Kingdom of Great Britain.

T: Right! What countries is it divided into?

P4: United Kingdom of Great Britain is divided into England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

T: That is Ok! Which of the countries would you like to visit?

P5: I would like to visit England.

P6: I would like to visit Scotland.

T: Would you like to go to London?

P: Yes!

T: Let's close our eyes and imagine that we are in London. Describe to me what you see.

P: I see Big Ben, old castles, Trafalgar Square….

P: I see a red double - Decker bus.

T: Would you like to hear the legend of the red double - Decker bus?

P: Yes, of course!

Больше всего необычных легенд исторически сложилось в Лондоне, сердце Англии. Многие местные жители и туристы видели там призрак красного двухэтажного автобуса, который с огромной скоростью носится по улицам, причем, без водителя. Говорят, что в 1934 году произошла смертельная авария, виновником был именно водитель автобуса. К слову, сам автобус таинственно исчез после ДТП. С тех пор он часто появляется ровно в 1:15 ночи на лондонских улицах и слепит водителей, заставляя их резко сворачивать.

Текстовый этап включает организацию работы с текстом: установку, собственно чтение и контроль понимания.

London

London is the capital of Great Britain. Its population is over 10 million. It is one of the oldest and most interesting cities in the world.

Traditionally it is divided into several parts: the City, Westminster, the West End and the East End.

The heart of London is the City, its financial and business center. Numerous banks, offices and firms are situated there.

Westminster is the historic, the governmental part of London. It has more historic associations than any other building in Britain. Nearly all English kings and queens have been crowned here.

Across the road from Westminster Abbey is Westminster Palace, or the Houses of Parliament, the Clock Tower of the Houses of Parliament is famous for its big hour bell, known as «Big Ben».

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the Queen. The West End is the richest and most beautiful part of London. It is the symbol of wealth and luxury. The best hotels, shops, restaurants, clubs are situated there.

Trafalgar Square is the geographical center of London.

The East End is the poorest district of London. There are many factories, workshops and docks there. The streets are narrow, the houses are poor. It is a densely populated district where working-class families live.

London is the center of Britain's cultural life. There are many museums and art galleries in London.
