Gerund or Infinitive

Decide whether you need the infinitive (with or without to) or the gerund.

1. The children say that it is very difficult ----- up that tree.( climb )

2. They can’t go ----- nowadays.(cycle)

3. Don’t let him ---- so long.(run)

4. When we were children, we used ----- our grandparents every week.(see)

5. Are you used to ----- up in the fresh air?(sleep)

Type in the verbs correctly (Infinitive with/without to, or verbal).

1. Last week my friends and I were busy (prepare) a surprise party for our friend.

2. He is very keen on ( do extreme sports).

3. So why not (go shopping) ?

4. I asked my parents (give) me the car.

5. She liked our idea and offered (help) us.

6. When she arrived yesterday, she was a bit disappointed about none of us (meet) her.

7. But when she came home, she was happy (see) everybody again.
