Past Continuous (Progressive)

Употребляется для обозначения

- действия, происходящего в определённый момент времени,

- действия, которое было прервано другим,

- двух и более одновременно происходящих действий.

Типичные обстоятельства времени: at 5 o`clock yesterday, the whole day, from 3 to 5, while, when.
