Тема: «Travel and Leisure» / «Путешествия и досуг»

Тип урока: урок «открытия нового знания»

УМК: Spotlight (Ю.Е. Ваулина, Д. Дули, О.Е. Подоляко, В. Эванс)

Цели урока:

1. Образовательная:развивать навыки понимания прочитанного и говорения, используя лексику по теме и модальный глагол can / can’t.

2. Развивающая: развивать умения анализировать, обобщать, делать выводы, развивать внимание, устную речь.

3. Воспитательная:воспитывать умение слушать другого, уважение к мнению одноклассников.

Планируемые результаты урока:

1. Предметный:освоение лексических единиц по теме «Путешествия и досуг», повторение и использование в речи модального глагола can / can’t

2. Метапредметный: ставить цели и планировать пути их достижения с помощью учителя, адекватно самостоятельно и с помощью учителя оценивать правильность выполнения действия и вносить необходимые коррективы, слушать собеседника.

3. Личностный: адекватная оценка результатов своей учебной деятельности и одноклассников, грамотное изложение своих мыслей в устной и письменной речи.

1. Организационный момент. Warming – up. Мотивация учебной деятельности обучающихся. (3 мин)

Учитель: Hello, boys and girls! I`m glad to see you too. Take your seats, please. Let’s start our lesson.

Речевая зарядка.

Учитель: Answer my questions. What date is it today? What day is it today? What is the weather like today? And what’s your favourite season?  I like summer. Who else likes summer? And why do you like it? And what about school? Do you go to school in summer? So, you don’t go to school because you have holidays. You can visit your friends and relatives; you can see other cities and countries…

Фонетическая зарядка.

Фонетические карманы. Распределение слов chin, chest, catch, much, jam, joke, jump по звукам [dʒ][tʃ].

Учитель: There are some phonetic task on the blackboard. Put these words into phonetic pockets with sounds [dʒ] and [tʃ].

Учитель: Have a look at the screen, please. You can see some words there. Try to guess the theme of our lesson. What about are we going to speak? What are we going to do?

Учитель: You are right; the theme of our lesson is «Travel and Leisure». Today we will speak about different countries, different types of holidays, and different means of transport.

Учитель: Do you like to travel? Where would you like to go? Now have a look and pay attention.

Задаёт вопросы о том, любят ли они путешествовать, куда хотели бы они съездить, какие виды отдыха бывают. Предлагает посмотреть видеоролик и ответить на вопрос, какие виды отдыха бывают.

What types of holiday did you hear?

(ответы обучающихся)

Учитель: Fill out a mental map. (заполняют ментальную карту)

Обучающиеся отвечают, учитель предлагает повторить хором новые слова стр 116 упр 1 в учебнике: beach holiday, cruise, safari, sightseeing tour, activity holiday.

Учитель: Open your books at page 116 exercise 1. Listen and repeat after me.

(обучающиеся проговаривают хором слова)

Предлагает расспросить друг друга о том, какой тип отдыха предпочитает его одноклассник.

Учитель: Now ask questions to each other about what`s your favourite type of holiday.

(разыгрывают диалог в парах)

Учитель: How can we travel?

(ответы обучающихся)

Предлагает ответить на вопрос, как учащиеся любят путешествовать. (ex.2 p.116). Сообщает, что они будут путешествовать на поезде и складывать свои полученные знания в чемодан.

Обучающиеся заполняют ментальную карту, записав способы передвижения (виды транспорта)

1. Listening

Listen to the story and answer the questions.

Mrs Walker lives in a big city and she works in a cafe.

She has gone there by car every morning for twenty years. Then she was forty-five years old, and she said to herself, “I’m fat now, because I go everywhere by car. I’m going to buy a bicycle”.

She bought one, and after that she always went to her cafe on that, and not in her car. Sometimes all the cars stopped at a red light, and she went quickly past them to the front, because her bicycle was narrow. Then she was happy.

Yesterday she stopped at a red light, and a man came up behind her on another bicycle. He stopped too and said, “Have the police taken your driving licence away too?”

1. Does Mrs. Walker work in a shop?

2. Why did she decide to buy a bicycle?

3. Where did she stop one day?

4. Who came up behind her then?

5. What did he think about Mrs Walker?

1. Reading/ Test “True or False”

Many years ago Fast Airlines was a small, very new company. It had very little money and its airplanes were very old. Mr White flew by Fast Airlines once. That day he went to the airport, got on the Fast Airlines airplane and waited.

After a few minutes there was a lot of noise, and then the captain came out and shouted, “I’m not going to take this airplane up! One of the engines is broken, and they aren’t going to get a new one”.

The passengers got out, and then, an hour later, an air hostess said, “The airplane is ready again now”. The passengers walked past her to the aeroplane again.

“Did you get a new engine? Mr White asked her.

“No, we got a new a new captain”, she answered.

1. Учитель организует работу в группах на повторение изученных и введение новых слов по теме, предлагает соотнести слова с текстами-рекламами.

Учитель: Have a look at the screen. You can see several adverts. Read them and tell me what type of holiday is each advert about? Your task is to match the type of holiday to the advert. You will work in groups and you will have 1 minute to do the task.
The time is over. Let’s check your answers.
