Today we are going to speak about Oscar Wild and one of his numerous stories “The Devoted Friend”.

Oscar Wild is a mysterious writer, who didn’t find any recognition during his life. He is well - known for his extraordinary talent and humor. More than one hundred years have passed since his death but people still read his novels, poems and fairy-tales and find them interesting. His literary heritage is very large and his plays are often staged nowadays. Have you read any of his books in Russian or in English? Many of his books were filmed.
