World Cup countdown clock unveiled in Kazan as excitement grows in Russia ahead of the 2018 tournament

'This clock in Kazan is a symbol of a city that is already revelling in the pride of hosting the greatest tournament on Earth.

Prior to the event, Samoura together with FIFA president Infantino and vice prime minister of Russia Vitaly Mutko also visited the Kazan Arena, which will host the city's matches in both competitions. 

Kazan is one of 11 cities scheduled to host matches at the tournament, which is scheduled to begin on June 14, 2018.

The final will be played at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium July 15.
