БРЕЙН-РИНГ ПО ТЕМЕ:

“SCIENCE АND TECHNOLOGY”

9 КЛАСС

Цели и задачи:

1. Предметные:

Формировать навыки коммуникативного общения на английском языке в рамках предложенной игровой ситуации, аудитивные умения и навыки, навыки работы в группе для решения общей задачи.

1. Метапредметные:

Развитие познавательных и творческих способностей учащихся; расширение кругозора. Развитие компенсаторной компетенции учащихся, межпредметных связей с историей, географией.

1. Личностные:

Воспитывать уважительное отношение к окружающему миру, миру науки и техники; воспитывать интерес и положительную мотивацию к получению знаний в разных областях.

Оборудование: компьютер, экран, раздаточный материал.

Ход игры

Учитель вызывает к доске двух сильных учеников – это капитаны команд. Они по очереди выбирают себе игроков в команду из ребят класса. Затем занимают места за игровыми столами.

Звучит музыка Вагнера (заставка к игре «Что? Где? Когда?»).

1 конкурс – конкурс капитанов. К доске прикреплены листочки бумаги с названиями наук. Учитель читает описание, капитаны должны догадаться, о какой науке идет речь, и забрать листок с названием этой науки. У кого листочков окажется больше, та команда получает 1 балл.

BIOLOGY - the study of living things

PHYSICS – the science that studies natural forces, such as heat, movement, etc

STATISTICS – the science of using numbers to represent facts

LINGUISTICS – the study of languages, their structure, grammar, history, etc

ACOUSTICS – the study of sound

MATHEMATICS – the study of numbers and of the structure and measurement of shapes

GEOLOGY – the study of the structure of the Earth, the way in which it was formed, etc

METEOROLOGY – the scientific study of the weather

GEOGRAPHY – the study of the Earth’s surface regions of the world

2 конкурс – true or false. В конкурсе участвуют обе команды полностью. Каждый участник вытаскивает листочек, на котором написано предложение, он зачитывает его вслух и говорит, верно ли написанное. Сколько правильных ответов в команде, столько баллов команда и получает.

3 конкурс – inventions. Каждая команда получает набор карточек с названием изобретений от каменного века до промышленной революции. Эти карточки они должны распределить по векам, затем прикрепить карточки на доске под названием соответствующего века. Сколько изобретений сопоставлено правильно, столько баллов получает команда.

4 конкурс – questions. Какая команда быстрее ответит на вопросы, заданные учителем.

1. Who was the first man to fly into space?

2. Who was the second man to fly into the space?

3. Who was the first man to walk in space?

4. Who was the first astronaut to walk on the Moon?

5. Who were the first people to fly a plane?

6. Who was the first person to invent the radio?

7. Who was the first person to invent the telephone?

8. Who was the first scientist to discover radium?

9. Who were the first explorers to discover Antarctica?

10. Who was the first person to reach the South Pole?

11. Who was the first person to sail all around the world?

5 конкурс – listening. Учащиеся смотрят фрагмент фильма о «Шепчущей галерее» в Соборе Святого Павла и отвечают на три вопроса:

1. What is the name of the church?

2. Who was the architect of the church?

3. How many galleries are in this dome?

Подведение итогов игры.
