People in Great Britain and America celebrate Christmas on the 25 th of December . This day is considered to be a birthday of Jesus Christ .
The tradition of Christmas tree came from Germany in 16 th century.
And only in the end of 19 th century thanks to Prince Albert, who was German by blood, it became popular in England.
Evergreen tree symbolizes endurance and hardness in the face of danger.
Saint Nicholas is a prototype of Santa Clause in America and Father Frost in Great Britain.
Kissing under the mistletoe is a famous Christmas tradition.
A custom to give presents reminds us of gifts given to Baby Jesus by the Three Wise Men.
Angels are also a symbol of Christmas as we celebrate renewal of the World and triumph of Light over Darkness.
A Star on the top of a Christmas tree is a reminder of a rising of a Bethlehem Star at the moment of Jesus Christ’s birth.
