1. We don’t know much about Christopher Columbus . 2. In 1492 the King Ferdinand and the Queen Isabella of Spain gave him money to go to India. 3. Columbus reached some land. 4. He thought that it must be India , but it was not. 5. It was a new land: a new continent. It was America – Central America . 6. He discovered some more islands in Central America. 7. On October 12 th in 1492 Columbus sailed the Atlantic ocean with the 3 ships: Nina , Pinta and Santa Maria .
