Цели урока:
1. Образовательные: активизировать в речи учащихся лексику по теме «Англия»; практиковать учащихся в аудировании, развитии навыков монологической речи, развивать умение применения полученных ЗУН в конкретной ситуации
2.Развивающие:
1.развитие объема памяти, развитие способности к логическому изложению содержания.
2. развивать у учащихся познавательные способности: внимание, память, восприятие
3. Воспитательные:
1.Прививать интерес к культуре, красоте страны изучаемого языка
2. Воспитывать чувство взаимной ответственности. Прививать навыки работы в коллективе.
3. Развивать творческую фантазию, познавательный интерес, инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности.

Teacher: Yes, right you are. What is the theme of the lesson?

Today we are going to speak about the richest, the most beautiful and highly populated country of the UK-England.
We`ll speak about geographical position of England and check up your knowledge about England.

You know that England is a part of Great Britain. You have learnt a lot about this country.Now we’ll remember some facts about England. ( information on the screen).
- Where is England situated? - It is situated in the south of Great Britain.
- What is England washed by? - It is washed by the North Sea, the Irish Sea, the English Channel and the Strait of Dover.
- What rivers in England do you know? - The Severn, the Thames.
- Are there high mountains in England? - No, there aren`t.
-What is its population? - Over 46 million people.
- What is the capital of England? - London is.

Yorvik was the capital of a Viking Kingdom. In Mediaeval times, York was the second city of the land. Georgian York was the social centre. Victorian York was an important railway centre, and 20th century York is the home of world-famous chocolate. (The North of England)
