Проведення свята:
І. Оголошення початку свята. (Бесіда про основні атрибути проведення свята Halloween)
Girl: Do you see a strange mask in the corner of the room? It looks like a pumpkin.
Boy: It is not a mask. It’s a jack-o’-lantern. To make it you should cutoff the top of a pumpkin and scoop it out. Then cut out the eyes, nose and mouth and put a lit candle inside.
Girl: What has the jack-j’-lantern got to do with festivals?
Boy: it’s Halloween. Have you heard of Halloween?
Girl: No, I have not. What is it?
Boy: it’s on October 31. They say ghosts and witches come out on Halloween. In English-speaking countries children put on masks, go from house to house and say, “Trick or Treat?”
Girl: Do they really play tricks?
Boy: Usually people give them sweets, fruit, gums, nuts or money, so they don’t play tricks. But sometimes, if you don’t give anything to them, they put bins in front of your door or throw flour at your windows.
Girl: It is not pleasant.
Boy: The most e[citing are Halloween parties with masquerade, where people dress as witches and ghosts.
Girl: Fantastic! I’ve never heard of such a festival.
ІІ. Вихід нечисті. (Розповідь про історію свята)
Compere: Hundreds of years before the birth of Christ, the Celts – the inhabitants, of France and the British Isles – held festivals at the beginning of every winter for the Lord of Dead. These people believed that this god ruled the world in winter, when he called together the ghost of dead people. On October 31, these spirits of the dead came back in the forms of animals, with very bad ghosts as black cats. At their festival on this day, the Celts used to make big fires to frighten the ghosts and chase them away. This celebration was the beginning of the holiday of Halloween.
ІІІ. Декламація віршів про Halloween.
Pupil 1:
The Goblin
A goblin lives in our house, our house, our house,
A goblin lives in our house – all year round.
He bumps, he jumps, he thumps and he drums
He knocks and he rocks, and he rattles at the locks.
A goblin lives in our house, our house, our house,
A goblin lives in our house – all year round!
Pupil 2:
Heyhow Halloween!
Heyhow Halloween!
When all witches are to be seen,
Some in black and some in green
Heyhow for Halloween!
Pupil 3:
Jack-o’-lantern
Jack-o’-lantern smiling bright,
Smiling bright, smiling bright.
Witches flying in the night.
It is Halloween!
Ghost and goblins, cats and bats,
Cats and bats, cats and bats,
Witches with their funny hats.
It is Halloween!
Pupil 4:
On Halloween
The witches fly
Across the sky,
The owls go, “Who? Who? Who?”
The black cats yowl,
And green ghosts howl,
“Scary Halloween to you!”
Pupil 5:
Pumpkin
Pumpkin, pumpkin nice and round,
Lying on the cool, soft ground.
Once you were a seed so small,
Now you are a big, round ball.

V. Виконання пісні “Witches come on Halloween”
Witches come on Halloween,
Witches come to stay.
Here’s a witch with a tall black hat,
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Here are the witches and a cat,
Watch out now or scream.
VI. Інсценування вірша “Halloween” (by Marie A. Lawson)
1-st child:
Granny, I saw a witch go by,
I saw two, I saw three!
I heard their skirts go swish, swish, swish.
Granny:
Child, ‘twas leaves against the sky,
And the autumn wind in the tree.
2-nd child:
Granny, broomsticks they bestrode,
Their hats were black as tar,
And the buckles twinkled on their shoes.
Granny:
You saw but shadows on the road,
The sparkle of a star.
3-d child:
Granny, all their heels were red,
Their cats were big as sheep.
I heard a bat talking to an owl.
Granny:
Child, you must go straight to bed,
It’s time you were asleep.
4-th child:
Granny, I saw men in green,
Their eyes shone fiery red,
Their heads were yellow pumpkins.
Granny:
Now you’ve told me
What you’ve seen,
Will you go to bed?
4-th child: Granny?
Granny: Well?
4-th child: Don’t you believe?
Granny:
What I’ve seen?
Don’t you know it’s Halloween?
