Let me introduce myself, my name is Sasha. I am in the 11th grade and in 3 months I am graduating from school. It is not easy to make the right choice of a job. In my childhood, I dreamed to become a vet. Later I was interested in English. Then I was fond of Chemistry. Who will help me? I asked my classmates about their parents’ career. 25 students in my class told me about the profession of only one parent. It turned out that 10 parents work in the sphere of medicine, (40%), 7 people in the field of law (28%), 4 persons are teachers (16%), 3 persons work in the sphere of construction (12%), and only 1 of respondents that makes 4%, answered that his mother had connected her life with a foreign language.

I asked the same question to former and present graduates of our school. Nearly 50% from them chose medicine, and about 25% – law. I reflected and came to some conclusions: these are the most popular and demanded professions today.

So what should I be? I remembered the rules of choosing profession from the English textbook for the 9th grade and I made the list of requirements for my future profession.

First, it should be interesting. Secondly, I have to be sure to be able to find a good and well-paid job after graduating. Another important factor is my abilities to different disciplines. Having taken all this into account, I have decided that I want to be an interpreter at the large chemical company for example on P&G. However, I wish my future profession did not disappoint me.

That is why I decided to learn as much as possible about this enterprise and its influence on ecology of Tula region. It is the essence of my research.

One of the offices of this world famous corporation located in Novomoskovsk is the largest of the P&G Company in Russia.

The leading production division are synthetic detergents - Tide, Ariel, Tix, Dreft, "Myth", Mr. Proper. For the last 5–6 years, production has been increased in three times. In 2005, first production line of children's diapers of the Pampers brand was opened.

The plant differs in the high culture of production, high standards in the field of ensuring quality of production, labor and environmental protection. In 15 years of activity in Russia, the P&G Company has contributed more than 250 million dollars of investments in development of the Novomoskovsk plant. The operating productions are during this time modernized, the company has introduced new technologies.

These goods are in great demand in my family and in families of friends, relatives and acquaintances. I like to develop something new, to think out new goods.

Some acquaintances of my family work in this corporation. I asked them several questions about the salary, labor protection, of relationship in the collective. Their answers satisfied me and I came to the conclusion that this job is for me. However, despite all privileges of this company, the aim of my work is to understand what its impaction on the ecology of Tula region is. We often hear about the environmental disaster threatening to our planet. In addition, at Biology and English lessons we discuss their results.

Ecological problems are causing great damage to our environment. They have no borders. Many large factories pollute air, water, forests and land. I think that Procter & Gamble is not an exception.

I went to our city library and asked to give me local newspapers. I looked for articles about Procter & Gamble and its influence on ecology.

As well as all companies on production of products with the difficult chemical composition, P&G faces such problem as environmental pollution. This corporation realizes all importance of this problem and takes all necessary measures not to do harm to ecology. The company carries out the most complex works to find the more favorable for the surrounding nature recycling methods.

Here are some of these methods:

1. Packaging from biodegradable material.

In 2010, the company announced the change of packing for its goods. Such plastic is capable to decay completely, without doing harm to the environment. 2. Recycling control.

One of the main goals in the field of ecology Procter & Gamble considers competent recycling. On 45 production sites of Procter & Gamble waste is not taken any more out on dumps, but is burned for obtaining energy, and buried on landfills.

1. Eco-application for iPhone, iPad and Android

On the Earth Day on April 22, 2011 P&G started the application My Carbon Footprint by which any user could create the own planet and check the level of pollution.

1. Woods protection against cutting.

2. Reduction of water consumption and a campaign for conservation of energy.

Procter & Gamble creates the products directed to water economy. For example, the laundry detergent Ariel can work effectively without using of the pre-wash mode of the washing machine, and the laundry detergent Tide Coldwater washes spots in cold water.

1. Access to clear drinking water.

More than 1 billion people around the world suffer a shortage of drinking water. Procter & Gamble started the program Children’s Safe Drinking Water.

1. "No" to phosphates.

Phosphates are extremely unpleasant components of many laundry detergents. These substances soften water, but at the same time do harm to health of the consumer and the environment. Procter & Gamble removed phosphates from the production.

In recent years the company improved considerably the eco- reputation thanks to the numerous initiatives directed to environment protection.

For years the P&G company has successfully realized a number of social programs. Among them there is a reorganization and the equipment of infectious office of city hospital; purchase of the modern x-ray equipment; improvement of system of water supply of the city; construction of the sports centers "Olimp" and "Olimp-2" and also the sports ground "Olympus-3". Besides, the company renders the charitable help to childcare facilities, the house of veterans "Care", supports ensemble of the variety dance "Youth". Workers "P&G — Novomoskovsk" participate in the program of voluntary private donations "They need your help". »

On 20 April 2017 the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Tula region Yury Panfilov participated in an ecological action in which the staff of P&G Company, put 30 round-leaved lindens. Dirk Brysen, the executive director of «P&G, headed the team of volunteers of P&G.

P&G seeks for reduction of impact on the environment. In the long term the company, plans to transfer all operating enterprises to renewable energy and waste-free production. By 2020, P&G has also planned for a third to reduce emission of greenhouse gases. Expenses of water will be cut down for 20%. In the field of secondary waste recycling, the company has already achieved considerable results. Around the world, 68 P&G plants already came to the level of waste-free production.

Found out everything, I understood the following:

1. I have made a right choice.

2. For realization of my desire I have to get a good education.

3. It is not enough to become a good translator. If I want to work in this company it is necessary to get the second higher education as an ecologist.

4. I think that working at such enterprise I will be able to do interesting well - paid business, to bring benefit to my region and to visit foreign branches of this company.

I consider such approach to choice of profession reasonable and I will share my experience with my schoolmates.
