• 1.Good morning ,children. Today we shall speak about our planet, the Earth. Today the problems of the environment are very urgent. We shall discuss these problems.
• 2.The planet we live on is the Earth. The biggest country is Russia. The smallest country is Vatican City .There are 4 oceans : the Pacific ocean, the Atlantic ocean, the Indian ocean, the Arctic ocean. There are 6 continents: Asia, Africa, Australia, North America, South America. There are 40 countries in Africa and 1 country in Australia. There are many interesting people living in these countries. There are many plants and animals.

The Plant’s World

• You know that the plant world of our planet is very rich. There are many different flowers: roses and tulips, daffodils and daisies, poppies and water lilies. And I must say every month of the year has its special flower.
• The snowdrop is the flower for January. It is the native flower of the Europe.
• February s flower is the primrose.
• The flower of March is the daffodil .Daffodil is the symbol of Wales.
• Aprils flowers are daisies. The flower of May is the hawthorn. Junes flower is the honeysuckle. Julys flowers are water lilies.
• The flower of August is the poppy. The morning glory is the flower of September .Octobers flower is the hop. The flower of November is the chrysanthemum.
• Decembers flower is the holly.

The Animals’ World

• 4.The animal world of our planet is very rich too.
• Australia ,for example, has got the strangest native animals .The koala, the platypus, the echidna, the kangaroos, the dingo.
• The bird emus ,for example, with the kangaroo is represented on the Australian coat-of-arms.
• The kiwi lives in New Zealand. It is the national emblem of New Zealand.
• African elephants are wonderful animals. They can help men.
• There were a lot of tigers in India too. Tigers are dangerous animals. Some people kill them to save their lives.
• In Russia there are only 200 species of tigers .So, Indian and Russian tigers and African elephants are disappearing nowadays.
• Every ten minutes one kind of animal , plant or insect disappears. If nothing is done about it , over one million species will disappear in twenty years from now.

The problems of the environment

• Dirty water
• Dirty air
• Forests cutting
• Nuclear Pollution
