по теме «MY FAMILY»

Тип урока: Обобщающий

Цель урока: Систематизировать знания учащихся по теме «Семья»

Задачи урока:

• Образовательные:

• - совершенствовать коммуникативные умения (умение рассказывать о своей семье)

• - совершенствование грамматических умений (страдательный залог, структура “like + V ing”)

• Развивающие:

• – развивать умения монологической, диалогической речи учащихся при выполнении упражнений в форме интервью;

• - развивать коммуникативную компетентность (умение работать в группе, выступать перед аудиторией) развивать память, мышление, воображение через постановку проблемных задач.

• Воспитательные:

• – прививать любовь и интерес к иностранному языку;

• – воспитывать умение работать в парах, группах, самостоятельно

• - воспитание чувства гордости за свою семью, положительного, уважительного и толерантного отношения

• Тип урока: урок комплексного применения знаний.

• 
  Формы обучения:  групповая, индивидуальная, фронтальная, в группах.

ХОД УРОКА

1 Организационный момент:

Good morning. I’m glad to see you! How are you? Let’s begin our lesson.

2 Определение темы урока, постановка целей, задач урока:

Look at the blackboard, try to guess the words in the bubbles. (Letters are mixed)

nephew grandad

I n the center there is an empty bubble. This is the topic of our lesson. What do you think what word should be here? FAMILY (1 pupil writes down the topic in the central bubble)

Today we’ll speak about you and your family members.

(point to the steam engine and the railcars at the top of the blackboard)

These are the steps of our today’s lesson: (steps are written in the railcars)

3 Основной этап:

Tell me who have you got? What are their names?

What’s your mother’s name?

How old is she?

Have you got a cousin?

What’s his\her name?

Now we’ll speak about your mums, dads, sisters and brothers.

Take the sheets of paper and write down the names of your family members.

Work in pairs and tell your partner about your relatives.

e.g I’ve got a mum. Her name’s Anna.

(after working in pairs 2 pupils speak about their relatives aloud)

Look at the blackboard. Here you’ve got some adjectives. (The words are on the cards)

Repeat after me.

Read one by one.

Listen to me attentively, I’ll read the definitions and you choose the correct item.

1. He gets angry easily. (aggressive)

2. He doesn’t get angry easily. (patient)

3. He always tells what to do. (bossy)

4. He doesn’t like working. (lazy)

5. He is beautiful. (good-looking)

6. He is very, very beautiful. (gorgeous)

7. He knows a lot. (clever)

10. The synonym of the word “lovely”. (pretty)

What words do we use to describe appearance and words do we use to describe character?

Go to the blackboard 1 by 1 take a card and fasten in in one of the columns.

Open your student’s books at page 31, ex.25

Study the descriptions, then listen and fill in the missing words.

Read what you’ve got.

Work in pairs, ask and answer the questions, as in the example.

Again take your sheets of paper with the tables and fill in the third and the fourth columns. Write down about the appearance and the character of your relatives.

Work in pairs and describe your mum, dad, sisters and brothers.

e.g My mum has got long fair hair, blue eyes, she is quite tall. She is patient and kind.

Do you like to spend free time with your family? What do you do together?

Let’s interview each other and find out what activity is the most popular in your class. Take the cards and ask the questions and mark all positive answers with +.

Now let’s divide into 3 groups.

Running dictation:

Take the cards. Here is the letter from Kate to Anna. Some phrases in the letter are missed. These phrases are fastened on the walls of our classroom. One pupil from your group runs around the classroom reads the phrases, returns to his group and dictates the phrase. You should write down all the sentences and fill in the gaps in the letter.

Read the letter.

4 Заключительный этап:

Look once again at the steam engine and tell me what was the most difficult \ interesting for you at the lesson.
