New Year’s Day

• There are many holidays and celebrations in the world.
• They are Christmas, Easter, St. Valentine’s Day, Women’s Day, May Day.
• But my favourite holiday is New Year’s

Day.

New Year’s Day

• People celebrate New Year in every country.
• They have some special traditions.
• There are some traditions in my family too.
• First we decorate the New Year’s

tree and decorate the house.

• New Year is a time for presents.
• And I write a letter to Father Frost every year.
• There I ask him something for present.
• Then I prepare presents for my parents.

• After midnight we congratulate each other and give presents.
• It is a tradition to open them at night.

New Year’s day

• Also we have some special dishes for this holiday.
• We cook fried chicken and a lot of salads.
• And on this holiday there are always a lot of sweets.
