Dear Sally,
Thank you for the letter. It was great to hear from you again after such a long time. I really should have written sooner. I have been busy with my exams.
I think you should take the invitation. Caves in Scotland are so beautiful . Your life
is boring if you never take risks. Extreme sports give you a chance to live a full life. Last summer I tried rock climbing and really enjoyed it.
It is great that Amy is coming at last! How long is she going to stay with you? What are you going to do together? What places are you going to visit?
Anyway, I must go and get on with my work! Hope to hear from you soon.
All the best,
Kate

In your letter you tell me about your future profession and ask me about my choice. Of course, I have decided about my future career. As for me, I would like to become a translator. I choose this profession because I found it rather interesting because I will be able to travel to other countries and speak with other people. Also, I like something new and unusual. So, I want to study German language. It was nice to hear that you want to travel somewhere. I like travelling too.
That is all for now. Hope to hear from you soon.

Dear Fiona,
Dear Pete,
It’s always good to hear from you. I see you’re as glad as I am to be finishing school. It’s been a tough year but it’s all over now!
It was great to hear from you. You must be pleased that your exams are over and now it’s time to enjoy yourself.
You can imagine how I felt as the school bell rang on the last day. That night we all went out and celebrated. I’ll miss some of my friends but now I’ve got the time to do some of the things I always wanted to do. Next year, I’m going to university. I am studying Italian so my holiday is hopefully going to be in Rome. I can’t wait to walk those historic streets and speak to the locals.
Well, the anti-bullying week was a huge success and I believe we have really reduced the amount of bullying that goes on in our school. There were talks by experts and films that showed the effects and how to deal with bullying. There was also a confidential helpline for kids who were being bullied.
Anyway, how was your brother's graduation? Your parents must be so proud. What did he graduate from? What are his plans now?
Anyway, what about the party you mentioned? Where is it and who are you going with? More importantly, who is going to be there? Is Robbie from next door going?
Got to go now. My exams are next week so there’s still a lot of studying for me!
I’d better go now. Hope to hear from you soon.
Yours,
Lots of love,
Fran
