Цели:
Обобщение раннее изученного материала в новых речевых ситуациях;
Развитие интеллектуальных навыков;
Формирование умения анализировать и обобщать полученную информацию;
Прививать любовь к школе, учителям, одноклассникам как единой школьной семье.
Ход урока:
I. Организационный момент
1. Приветствие
Teacher: Good afternoon, pupils and dear guests! Today we are having an unusual lesson. We are having a meeting of the English club “LEE”. Now let’s guess what the theme of our meeting is. Look at the picture. What is it?
Pupils: It’s our school.
Teacher: That’s right. So what are we going to speak about today?
Pupils: We are going to speak about our school.
Teacher: Clever you are! What do we need to speak about it?
Pupils: We need
To know theme words;
To read texts;
To listen to the teacher;
To ask and answer questions;
To discuss topics;
To demonstrate knowledge.
2. Warming up
Teacher: Great job! Now let’s learn what the word “school” means for you. There is a word “school” in the yellow circle and there are some rays of the sun. You should write your associations with the school on them. (Звучит фоновая музыка)
Обучающиеся пишут свои ассоциации на лучах солнца, затем прикрепляют их на доску и комментируют свои ответы:
Pupils: The school is associated with…
Teacher: Well done! We have got an amazing sun with so many rays now.
II. Основная часть
Teacher: Let’s learn if our pupils like studying at school.
Видео с опросом школьников разных классов.
Teacher: There are some pros and cons of the studying at school. Let’s discuss them according to the children’s answers.
Ученики дают ответы по услышанной информации.
Teacher: Brilliant! Now we have got some reports about our school life.
Звучат доклады детей о школьной жизни в нашей школе.
Teacher: It was so interesting to listen to your reports. Why do (don’t) you like going to school?
Звучат ответы учеников на вопрос.
Teacher: Now let’s revise all information. There are two schools: this one is a school of pros, this one is a school of cons. Let’s divide into two groups and write as many pros and cons as you can. Then present them. (Звучит фоновая музыка)

Pupils of the 2nd group: The cons of studying are…
III. Заключительная часть
1. Рефлексия
Teacher: Now let’s sum it all up and write a short rhyme about the school called cinquain. Remember the rules of its writing.
1st line – a noun.
2nd line – two adjectives.
3rd line – three verbs.
4th line – a phrase of your attitude to the first word.
5th line – a synonym to the 1st word.
(Звучит фоновая музыка) Дети пишут свои синквейны, а затем презентуют их.
2. Домашнее задание
Teacher: Our meeting is coming to the end. It’s time to learn about our new contest. You should write compositions about “My attitude to school”. The best compositions will be published in our magazine called “English Zone”. Thank you for your work Good bye. See you.
