1. Организационный момент

T: Good morning, children.

P: Good morning, teacher.

T: I’m glad to see you.

P: We are glad to see you too.

T: Thank you, take seats. I’m fine today. And how are you?

P: I’m fine/nice/great/good/OK, thank you.

1. Речевая разминка

T: Children, what would you like to do at the lesson today?

P: I’d like to get an excellent mark/ sing songs/ play funny games/do some activities/do physical exercise/ read texts/ answer the questions/ learn new words/ watch a video at the lesson today.

T: Well-done. And I’d like you to be brilliant and active pupils at the lesson today. I’d like to start our lesson with a video. Watch the video and guess the key word of our lesson.

P: (смотрят видео)

T: What is the key word of our lesson?

P: Holidays.

T: Right you are (переворачивает карточку). Look at the board and guess the title of our lesson.

P: We love holidays.

T: How clever you are. The title of our lesson is “We love holidays.” I love holidays very much. Do you love holidays?

P: Yes, we do.

T: We have a special guest at our lesson who loves holidays too. Look at the photo. This is Clare Douglas. She is from Great Britain. Let’s say hello to Clare.

P: Hello, Clare.

T: But Clare knows nothing about holidays in Russia. And she would like you to tell her about Russian holidays. And the goal of our lesson is to tell her about our favourite holidays (вешает карточку с целью урока). Children, what should we do to achieve our goal?

P: revise the words; revise the names of the holidays; do projects.

T: How brilliant you are. We should revise the words on our topic, revise the names of the holidays and do projects (вешает карточки) and then tell Clare about holidays.

T: Children, Clare’s favourite holiday is St Valentine’s Day. Let’s sing a song for her “If you love me and you know it.”

P: (поют песню)

T: Very good, thank you. Clare liked your singing and she has prepared a word game for you. Match the words and the pictures (раздаёт карточки с заданием). Who would like to do the task at the board? You have 2 minutes.

P: (один из учащихся выполняет задание у доски)

T: It’s time to check.

P: (читают словосочетания и сверяют с доской)

T: Good job. Clare liked your work so much. Now fill in the self-assessment cards. Tick in the right column (показывает листы самооценки) – succeed, not sure, failed.

P: (заполняют)

T: Children, you know a lot of words about holidays. And do you know the names of the holidays and their symbols? Look at the screen. Clare has prepared a presentation for you. Name the holiday and its symbol (показывает презентацию). What holiday is it? What is its symbol?

P: it is… . Its symbol is … .

T: How bright you are. Fill in the self-assessment card. Tick in the right column.

T: Children, you are so active. Let’s have a little rest and do some physical exercise (вызывает ученика для проведения физкультминутки).

P: (выполняют зарядку)

1. Презентация проектов

T: Well-done. I think you are ready to do projects about your favourite holidays. What is the name of your favourite holiday?

P: Easter/ Women’s Day/ New Year.

T: Good. Do your projects. You have everything you need. Work in groups. You have 7 minutes.

P: (выполняют проекты)

T: Time is up. I need a volunteer from each group. In turn say a word about holidays. Who says more words he or she is a winner and their group will be the first to present the project to Clare.

P: (по очереди называют слова)

T: (определяет победителя и в какой очередности группы выступают) Great job. Listen to your classmate speaking and answer Clare’s questions. Look at the screen:

1)Why do they like this holiday?

2)What do people do on this holiday?

T: What an excellent job you have done. Fill in the self-assessment cards. Tick in the right column.

T: Now Clare knows so much about your favourite holidays. She is pleased with your answers. But she is tired. Let’s say good-bye to her.

P: Good-bye, Clare.

1. Домашнее задание

T: Children, you know a lot about different holidays. At home do exercise VI at page 92 in your Sb. Match the holidays and their symbols. Write down your homework.

P: (записывают д/з)

1. Оценивание и рефлексия

T: You have been brilliant and active pupils at the lesson today. Look at your self-assessment cards. Circle the marks. 3 ticks in “succeed” is a “5”, 2 ticks is a “4”. And 3 ticks in “failed” is a “3”.

P: (ставят отметки)

T: Children, now answer the question “What can you do now?”. Complete the sentence: Now I can… .

P: (заполняют предложение) Now I can sing English songs/talk about my favourite holiday/ name the holidays/ do projects/ play funny games.

T: Well-done. If you can sing English songs and you can. Let’s sing “The way the bunny hops”.

P: (поют песню)

T: Thanks a lot, dear children. The lesson is over. Good-bye.
