Dialect
is a type of language that differs in its grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and spelling .
Accent
is a special manner of pronunciation that is characteristic of a group of people in a particular area.

- Estuary (coastal settlements along the Thames)
- Cockney (East London)
- Posh English(aristocratic)
- Welsh

Scottish Standard English / SSE
Scottish version of English is different from the British one.
They change words:
You ken ? (SSE) = You know ? (BrE)

How no? (SEE) =
Why not? (BrE)

there are words that, according to the people of Wales, untranslatable into English:

The Irish English
They don't answer yes or no questions:
Do you drive? – I do .
Can you sing? – I can’t .
doubling:
I’ve no time at all at all .
“ R” is always pronounced
[ dj] →[dʒ]:
duke → jook, duty→ jooty
[tj] → [tʃ]:
tube →choob , tune→ choon
in some accents:
think→ tink
that →dat
