Critical Friends Protocol: What is the difference between Past Simple and Present Perfect Tenses

Introduction of the protocol to students, setting timeline, explanation of what they are going to do within the project.

Introduction of Essential question “What is the difference between Past Simple and Present Perfect Tenses” to students, end product and ideas concerning presentation of project’s outcomes and assessment.

Students ask question about the project - “How long the project will last?, “What activities should we do?, What resources should we use in order to define the difference?, etc.

Feedback

Presenter stays apart from discussion. He just listen and make notes. Students share ideas with each other concerning the driving questions, schedule, planning, monitoring, possible resources and the end product. Discussion begins with positive feedback and then goes to critical one.

Reflection

Presenter respond to students’ comments and ideas and reflects on useful feedback. He decides to present the project outcome in a form of screencast where he will put main information and activities about the project “What is the difference between Past Simple and Present Perfect Tenses”
