Narrator 1 (Абгарян Карен): Hello, everybody! We are glad to see you! Today we are going to tell you fairy tale “TWELVE MONTHS”

Ведущий 2 (Пономарёв Михаил): Здравствуйте! Мы рады Вас приветствовать! Сегодня мы расскажем вам сказку «Двенадцать месяцев!»

Narrator 2 (Пономарёв Михаил): And help us in it our classmates and schoolchildren from the forth “B” form: Squirrel 1-Khachaturyan Yelisaveta, Squirrel 2-Nadysova Alexandra,

Narrator 1 (Абгарян Карен): So we are beginning. Once upon a time a little girl lived. She hadn’t got a father and a mother. She lived with stepmother and stepsister.

Ведущий 2 (Пономарёв Михаил): Итак, мы начинаем. Однажды жила девочка. У неё е было ни мамы, ни папы. Она жила с мачехой и сводной сестрой. Вот, что произошло однажды.

Narrator 2 (Пономарёв Михаил): It was a frosty December day. Stepdaughter was outdoors and saw two squirrels, which ran and told.

Narrator 1 (Абгарян Карен): Стоял морозный декабрьский день. Девочка гуляла на улице и увидела двух белок, которые бегали и разговаривали.

Действие первое

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Part 1.

Narrator 2 (Пономарёв Михаил): Действие первое.

Squirrel 1: oh, how cold in the street

-I am a fur, fur, furry squirrel,

Squirrel 2: With a bush, bush, bushy tail,

And I scamper here and there, searching for some nuts.

Narrator 1 (Абгарян Карен): Hare came to them.

Narrator 2 (Пономарёв Михаил): Заяц подходит к ним.

Hare: squirrels, let’s play touch and run.

Вместе заяц и белки:

-One, two, three, four

Can I have a little more?

Five six seven eight

Put some candies on my plate.

Действие второе

Narrator 2(Пономарёв Михаил): Part two.

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Действие второе:

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Stepdaughter is laughing, when she sees how squirrels and rabbit are playing.

Narrator 2(Пономарёв Михаил): Падчерица смеётся, увидев, как играют белки и заяц.

Narrator 2(Пономарёв Михаил): A soldier comes to the girl

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Солдат подходит к девочке.

Stepdaughter: Ha-ha, what funny animals! They are playing tag!

Soldier: Good day, a beautiful girl. Why are you laughing?

Stepdaughter: You can hardly believe your eyes. The squirrels and the hare are playing tag as we people do it. And they can speak as people can.

Soldier: No wonder. Today is New Year’s Eve. It may happen everything this day.

Stepdaughter: But what may happen?

Soldier: My grandfather told me that once on New Year’s Eve he met twelve months at once.

Stepdaughter: Oh, I can’t believe it. I don’t think it can be.

Soldier: Yes, it can be. He met at once all the seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. By

the way, what are you doing here?

Stepdaughter: My stepmother sent me for firewood.

Soldier: In such weather! Haven’t you got a mother or a father?

Stepdaughter: No, I’ve got only a stepmother and a stepsister.

Soldier: Poor thing. And as for me, I came to the forest to find a beautiful New Year tree for the

Queen. She is also an orphan and she is a very naughty girl.

Stepdaughter: I can show you a beautiful fir-tree.

Soldier: Thank you. And I’ll help you to gather firewood. Let’s go.

Narrator 2(Пономарёв Михаил): Part three.

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Действие третье

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Professor is teaching the queen.

Narrator 2(Пономарёв Михаил): Профессор учит королеву.

Queen: I don’t want to write. I don’t want to read. I don’t want to learn.

Professor: I agree, it’s not pleasant, but you should.

Queen: No, I shouldn’t, I’m a queen.

Professor: But all people must learn to be clever.

Queen: No, no, no. I can do what I want. I’m a queen and everybody must agree with me.

Professor: I’m sorry, but…

Queen: I don’t want to listen to you. You must agree with me. So, ask me something.

Professor: How much is two times two?

Queen: Five.

Professor: Yes, you are right.

Queen: Now tell me something interesting.

Professor: Well, today is New Year’s Eve. The year consists of twelve months. They follow one

another. They can’t change their turn.

Queen: Is that so? But I want April to be now.

Professor: But it’s impossible.

Queen: You again disagree with me. I’ll declare the law. And it will be April.

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Действие четвертое

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Public crier cries the Queen’s law.

Narrator 2(Пономарёв Михаил): Глашатай выкрикивает указ Королевы.

Public crier: Listen, listen, and listen.

Spring is green

Summer is bright

Autumn is yellow

Winter is white.

Snowdrops are growing

Here tonight. Pick up full basket of snowdrops till night. Everybody who brings a basket of snowdrops for the Queen will get a full basket of gold.

Narrator 2(Пономарёв Михаил): The stepmother and her daughter hear the law, come back home and tell to the stepdaughter.

Narrator 1(Абгарян Карен): Мачеха и её дочка услышали указ, вернулись домой и говорят падчерице.

Daughter: Mother, mother. Have you heard? The Queen declared the law. If you bring a basket

of snowdrops for the Queen you’ll get a full basket of gold.

Mother: But it’s very cold in the forest. Neither I nor you can go there. Let’s send your sister

there.

Daughter: Yes, you are right. Let her go. Let’s give her that big basket.

Stepdaughter: It’s so cold outdoors.

Mother: You mustn’t sit here. You must go to the forest again.

Stepdaughter: Oh, no. I’m so cold. Let me warm a little, I have already brought a lot of

firewood.

Daughter: You’ll go to the forest not for firewood. You should bring a basket of snowdrops.

Stepdaughter: But it’s impossible. It’s winter now; there are no snowdrops in the forest.

Mother: Go and don’t come back without snowdrops.

Narrator 1(Пономарёв Михаил): Действие пятое. В лесу. Снеговик.

Snowman (Юрасов Максим):

I am a little snowman short and fat.

Here is my scarf and here is my hat.

When the snow is falling, come and play.

Build a snowman every day.

Stepdaughter: I am so cold. I’m so cold. I’m so tired. I can’t go further. Let me freeze here. But I can’t go anywhere. What is there? It seems to me there is a bonfire and somebody is there…

Snowman: Look, there is a fire not far from here. Go there.

Narrator 1(Пономарёв Михаил): The Stepdaughter is going to the fire.

Narrator 2(Абгарян Карен): Девочка идёт к костру.

Stepdaughter: Good evening. Can I warm my hands?

January (Ступак Ольга): Of course, you can. You are welcome. But who are you and what are you doing here in such cold weather? Why do you come to the forest?

Stepdaughter: I know it’s funny. But my stepmother told me to bring snowdrops.

July (Алипченко Александр): What is in your hands? A basket? Do you want to gather mushrooms or berries? Then you should come in summer.

Stepdaughter: No, I haven’t come for berries. My stepmother sent me for snowdrops.

February (Елисеева Елизавета): Don’t you know that there are no snowdrops now.

Stepdaughter: Yes, I know. But it’s not my will. My stepmother told me not to come back without snowdrops.

March (Гулиев Аким): What does she need flowers for in the middle of winter?

Stepdaughter: She needs gold. Our Queen promised to give a basket of gold for a basket of snowdrops.

October (Скрипник Слава): Poor thing. It’s impossible. You should wait till April.

Stepdaughter: I know. Thank you for everything. I’m sorry for disturbing you. Good bye! And who are you?

January (Ступак Ольга): I am January

January brings the snow,

Makes our feet and fingers glow.

February (Елисеева Елизавета): I am February

February snows again

And sometimes it brings us rain.

March (Гулиев Аким): I am March

March brings sunny days and winds

So we know that spring begins.

April (Пак Илья): I am April

April brings the primrose sweet,

We see snowdrops at our feet.

May (Юрьева Анна): I am May

May brings flowers, joy and grass

And the holidays for us.

June (Крутелёва Алиса): I am June

June brings tulips, lilies, roses.

Fills the children`s hands with posies.

July (Алипченко Александр): I am July

Hot July brings apples and cherries

And a lot of other berries.

August (Привезёнов Артём): I am August

August brings us golden corn,

Then the harvest home is borne.

September (Машпанина Екатерина): I am September

Warm September brings us school,

Days are shorter, nights are cool.

October (Скрипник Слава) : I am October

Fresh October brings much fruit

Then to gather them is good.

November (Чибисов Максим): I am November

Red November brings us joy,

Fun for every girl and boy.

December (Рыжих Анастасия): I am December

Cold December brings us skating,

For the New Year we are waiting.

January: Brother April, she is your guest. Help.

April (Пак Илья): Don’t hurry, my dear. Brothers and sisters, let’s help the girl. Let me take your place, brother January.

January (Ступак Ольга): I agree, but what about February and March?

February (Елисеева Лиза): We are not against it.

March (Гулиев Аким): Take our place.

Winter months (Ступак Ольга, Елисеева Лиза, Рыжих Анастасия): We, winter months, know her. She is always in the forest.

Summer months (Крутелёва Алиса, Привезёнов Артём, Алипченко Артём): and we, summer months know her too. She always works in the garden. She is a very good girl.

April (Пак Илья): Thank you, brothers and sisters.

Spring is coming,

Spring is coming,

Flowers are coming too.

Snowdrops, lilies, daffodils

Now are coming too.

Spring, spring, spring!

April: If all of you like her, I want to give her my fairy ring. Take the ring. If something happens, throw it and call us, we’ll come and help you.

Narrator 2(Абгарян Карен): Then January backs the winter.

Narrator 1(Пономарёв Михаил): Январь возвращает зиму.

Действие шестое

Narrator 1(Пономарёв Михаил): Part six In the Queen’s kingdom.

Narrator 2(Абгарян Карен): Действие шестое. У королевы.

Professor: Happy New Year, your majesty.

Queen: I don’t want to celebrate New Year. I haven’t got snowdrops yet.

Public crier: Your majesty, two women brought a basket of snowdrops.

Mother: Good evening, your majesty. We’ve brought you snowdrops.

Queen: Look here, professor. You said it’s impossible, but I knew that if I order everything is possible. Where did you take them?

Daughter: In the forest, your majesty. But it was my sister. She brought the flowers, not we.

Queen: Where did you find them?

Stepdaughter: I can’t tell you. It’s a secret.

Queen: You are a real girl. I’m glad to see you. You’ll be my friend. And now let’s celebrate New Year!
