Цели и задачи урока:

1. Развитие навыков устной речи (монологической, диалогической) на основе изученного материала.

2. Формирование способности и готовности вступать в иноязычное общение.

3. Показать роль межнациональной толерантности для межнационального общения.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

T: Good morning, boys and girls! Let’s begin our lesson and say compliments to each other. (P1-P2; P3-P4)

Thank you very much.

People say “So many countries, so many customs”. So the theme of our lesson is “Traditions and customs in Great Britain and in Tatarstan”.
Today we are going to speak about famous British holidays and about some traditions in Tatarstan.

2. Речевая зарядка (режим работы: Учитель- Ученики)

T: Students, how do you understand the proverb “So many countries, so many customs”?

Good, thank you. Now answer my questions, please.

- Have British people got many traditions?

- Do traditions in Tatarstan play an important role?

- What Tatar national holidays do you know? ( P1,P2,P3…)

T: Good for you. Thank you.

3. Формирование умений и навыков.

T: Now I want you to look at the blackboard. Your task is finish the sentences with correct words, but there is an odd word)

1. During “Maslenitsa week” people always cook … .

2. Some people eat pancakes with … or … .

3. British people are proud of their … .

4. People … Maslenitsa at the end of February or at the beginning of March.

4. Развитие и контроль навыков аудирования.

T: Now I want to play a game with you. On the blackboard you can see some cards with the pictures of holidays. Listen to the information and guess what holiday it is.


1. On this day people give cards with hearts to their nearest and dearest. Some people don`t put their names at the end of their cards because they want their name to be a secret.( St. Valentine`s Day)


2.It is a spring holiday. During this holiday people celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring.( Maslenitsa)

3. People celebrate this holiday in winter. They decorate a special tree and give each other presents. This is a family holiday. (New Year)

4.This holiday is a national holiday in Tatarstan. People celebrate it at the beginning of summer. You can take part in many competitions and win prizes. ( Sabantuy)

5.This holiday is celebrated in autumn. The festival celebrates the return of the souls of dead. Some children follow the American custom called “Trick or Treat” ( Halloween)

T:We`ve spoken a lot about British holidays but we live in Tatarstan. We have our national holidays and we are proud of them.

What holidays do we celebrate in Tatarstan?

What is your favourite holiday?

Now let’s divide into two groups. In the pictures you will see some holidays. Your task is to discuss and tell us about them.


6. Развитие навыков диалогической речи( режим работы : У2,У3,У4 У1)

T: As you know British people are proud of their traditions and carefully keep them up. What questions would you ask your English friend? Make up dialogues, please.
